I chuckled when you said this was being moved on another area, post 23. See I would have moved it to a totally different area than where you did. I would have moved it to an area on the forum where it was EU bashing. I note the person who screamed blame EU received 10 thanks. I would not thank such a post. I feel this person and also the other ten have voted for this country to leave the EU.

Where would you have moved this thread to?
    It's a vent.
It's been moved to the Praise, Vent & Warnings board.
The OP didn't ask about his return rights or next steps.
If he had, it would have probably been moved to Consumer Rights.
The comment about 'blame the EU' was made when the thread was still on DT board.
That's what happens when you post on the wrong board - your thread can get derailed.

Unless I received a defective product yesterday, the Henry vaccum seems to have a pretty mediocre suction power.

I had a Electrolux half the price of the Henry before and even if towards the end of its life its suction quality was weak, it was still better than the brand new Henry.

Why on earth is it so popular if it's so weak in suction, isn't suction the core function of a vacuum cleaner?

    You have either:
    a) received a defective product or
    b) you are James Dyson.

I have a older Henry 1200w has the boost button.

    Used in workshop/garage

Son borrowed it new house renovations etc.

Was "slow" to give it back. So bought him a new one at xmas 620w no boost. Just to get mine back LOL

It is rubbish he has to use it twice as long than other one.

There are no design changes, they have taken out a 1200w motor and replaced it with a 620w motor to comply with the energy saving regulations.

Henry are now seemingly relying on their previous good name to sell these and buyers will be disappointed.
