Just bought a Henry vaccum: this thing sucks nothing

Unless I received a defective product yesterday, the Henry vaccum seems to have a pretty mediocre suction power.

I had a Electrolux half the price of the Henry before and even if towards the end of its life its suction quality was weak, it was still better than the brand new Henry.

Why on earth is it so popular if it's so weak in suction, isn't suction the core function of a vacuum cleaner?

Take it back! You must have a duff one.
I've had more cleaning jobs than you can shake a stick at & Henry has always been my favourite Hoover.
Something must be wrong with yours.

I don't have a Henry, but my sister does and it is excellent – it is an older model, though. I would have one, but because the suction is so powerful in her Henry, I never bought one – no good for antique rugs.

Is it carpets that are the problem? Numatic do turbo brush heads to get hair and fur off carpets and chairs etc.

Take it back, tell them it's faulty.
Hopefully the next one will be better. If not buy a shark.

In his defence, Henry has a great deal of competition. One only has to look at Parliament nowadays to appreciate how many suckers there were (including myself) who got it elected.

My Henry is brilliant. The only time I notice lack of suction is when the hose has worked itself loose, so make sure it's screwed into his nose properly :D
