I can't get hold of another sick note for them for the dates of 17th Jan - 17th Mar as I gave the duplicate copy from the doctors to work

Maybe ask her employers if they can send you a copy ? I'm not sure whether this would be entirely acceptable to Uc but worth a try.

Because they can see you are getting Carer's Allowance they should add the carer element. Post a note on your journal asking them to include.

Your wife appears to be receiving more than just SSP. SSP is £92.05/week which is £399/month whereas you say she gets £512. Presumably she is getting occupational sick pay which is higher than just SSP (or perhaps she is getting income tax refund through PAYE).
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Reason that fit note requirement does not come up on UC system, is that employment earnings data for SSP is being received. Earnings above a certain level will block the Work Capability Assessment (WCA) referral process from starting.

Earnings threshold is 16 x NMW which I calculate to be £543/month so actual earnings of £512 should not preclude WCA referral - but obviously other requirements have to be met also. OP does appear to have been badly supported by DWP who should have picked up on the circumstances.

Speak to her GP it maybe possible to have a duplicate copy. I don't understand why you only sent in one sick note and then decided not to send in anymore.

    Her payslip says SSP £429.67

    Deductions says for tax

PAYE - £131 not sure what that means?

Does that mean she's been paid back tax?

You only get Carers Element of UC, if you report a change 'caring for someone' on the online claim.

Carers Allowance being claimed and deducted from UC award does not lead to automatic award of the UC Carers Element.

Once UC have agreed the Carers Element, you can request a backdating decision of the Carers Element to when you started the Carers Allowance.

In regard to housing, they normally only allow an extra bedroom, if due to a disability, a couple cannot sleep in the same room and needs to occupy another bedroom. Not sure having to use a downstairs living room counts. The other reason for another bedroom entitlement, is having someone else needing it, as they provide care to the disabled person. As you are appealing to a Decision Maker, they will check the full guidelines.

Had a feeling that I have seen an amount lower than that. From memory is about £400 in an assessment period. It should be based on the current Administrative Earnings Threshold amount !

Yes you are correct, that the earnings amount for a couple would have to be below £541 ( Admin earnings threshold) for the fit notes registered to trigger a Work Capability Assessment.

So perhaps if fit notes are supplied up to date, the WCA can be arranged.

I reported that I'm caring for my wife in my journal on the 2nd march

Also my wife is disabled and uses the living room as her bedroom and the kitchen to wash downstairs
    I reported this
She's on enhanced payment for both mobility and daily living

I believe this should qualify for the additional bedroom which is why I appealed the decision

I do add everything to my online journal but I'm starting to question if anybody got the DWP is looking at it now

Perhaps as advised above try reporting it under report a change section on your journal.
