Hi there,

I'm hoping some friendly soul can help me with setting up my TV, as I've just moved into a new flat, and failing miserably at getting my TV working, as despite going into Menu, and selecting Installation, no further installation options are available such as automatic search, the only other options are Country and A.P.S.

I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong, as it was so long ago when I first purchased the TV and first set it up, and so would be grateful for any help.

Many thanks
Williacg

If you know at least the manufacturer of the TV, it should be a simple matter to Google for an online copy of the instruction manual. Otherwise, continuing to drip feed such information here on the forum will make it a very slow process..

What devices do you have or want to have connected to it ?

    Thank you.

However unfortunately, it is such an old Hitachi model, I no longer have the instruction manual or product code or number, which hasn't helped when I've googled.

Is it plugged into either the box or the aerial?

Or do you have it just sitting by itself?

It's a very old Hitachi, and the model numberis not listed, and as it was a second hand TV, I did not come with a manual when I purchased it, which would have had the model reference on it.

The box, TV and aerial are all connected, and I can access the Menu and Installation screen, however no further installation instructions are available.

I'm running late for work, and so if I don't answer any questions immediately, I'm not being rude.

Is there not a sticker on the back of the TV with model details or any numbers? - As mentioned if people know the model someone may be able to find a manual online.

How is the box connected to the TV?
