    Morning everyone!

Bit wild and windy here today, although I quite like it. I find windy weather quite invigorating!

It's Fri-yay! But standard workup for me:
    • B/L/D from stores. OH and I were saints last night and cooked today's lunch together after we had tea - bought some pasta for tea as felt inexplicably tired
    • Log food in free app - done
    • No alcohol (today marks 1 month dry) - done
    • Charge phone in work - done
    • Submit meter readings into app. Looks like they don't like my gas usage again *sigh* - every time I don't have the heating on all the time, they remove the gas usage from my timeline for a couple of weeks. Despite the fact I have a smart meter, so they can SEE what I'm using ALL THE TIME. - done
    • Gym at lunchtime - done
    • Heating off all day but think I will pop it on tonight as the house is cold - done. On this evening
    • Rotate seedlings - done
    • Crochet - nope
    • Start writing a list of weekend jobs - done
    • Check PMP - done
    • Had a NowTV pass as part of my Vodafone deal - luckily I actually read the text they sent me just now as the pass was ending and they were going to start charging me automatically. At least £7.99 saved by cancelling it! Never even watched the blimmin thing. I'm not much of a TV bod.
    Have a good one all

1LL hope you're ds is feeling better. I am in a bit of a grump and I need to get out of it. Yesterday was grim. 2 x 1 hour journeys took more than double each and although my allergy improved, I had to take an anti histamine which made me drowsy which wasn't great.

    My little list for today:
Go in to town, drop items at cs. Pay in a cheque. Weather atrocious so try not to get too wet.
    Check banking
Work out what we're having for tea
    Vacuum stairs
Washing on airer, won't get outside in this weather
    Refine meal plan
Sort through a box of clothes
Make a call about a frog
    Unlock my phone online
Cancel phone contract one unlock is confirmed and buy sim only deal

Have a good day everyone. Purps.

Thanks PF, I hope you have a better day today!
Ds1 is looking much brighter then yesterday, he looked so sorry for himself yesterday and small (He's 13 now and quite a bit taller then me so he isn't small really!)

    Morning all :)
Not posted for a couple of days due to being lazy and feeling negative :o Quite a spendy day yesterday as I had to pay the dog groomer, we went to a nearby garden centre while the dog was having his haircut, had a coffee and bought some compost. Also bought a large casserole on Amazon as I don't have one atm - had to sell my cast iron ones due to being unable to use them any more with my clumsy arthritic hands :(

Horrible weather here, though dry today (instead of the torrential rain we had yesterday) but still got the horrible, destructive wind :(
Anyway, onwards - so far today I have:
Updated my spending diary after my spendy day yesterday
    Cleaned up kitchen
    Tidied bathroom and watered orchids
Put some things that were cluttering up the conservatory away in the garage
Put my favourite coat in to wash, as it was looking grubby. Added some face cloths, cleaning cloths etc to make up a load
Washed out a freezer bag and pegged on line to dry for reuse
Picked perpetual spinach, which is currently soaking in the sink. There is enough for a pie for dinner :)
Sowed some more rocket for micro greens :)
    Repotted an aloe plant
Got OH to help me get the compost we bought yesterday out of the car
Tomato seedlings are up :j They obviously like it in the old cracked (but pretty) terrarium I put the pots in :rotfl:So I watered those.
    Still to do:
See if I can get the washing to stay on the line in this wind  If I can, it will soon dry! Done, coat on airer now to finish off elasticated cuffs etc. Tea towels, face cloths, freezer bag and cleaning cloths put away :)
Make some scones, which I will do in a minute Done
Make a spinach pie for dinner Done, wrapped leftover filo pastry carefully so that it doesn't dry out, and replaced in fridge. It will become a quiche shell over the next couple of days.

Used HG chives and micro greens in accompanying salad :)

Walk to post office to post a RM surveys item Done, took the dog :)

OK, coffee finished, better get on with some more :)
Hope poorlies are feeling better today :(

    Morning Daffodils,
Weird sort of mood today - I don't have to go out for a meeting, which I often do on a Wednesday, so that's good, but I have another 150-mile round trip to do tomorrow to progress plans for my parents' house, so I'm making lists & getting more paperwork together just in case there is time to make a tentative trip to the estate agents too. And the gales & showers mean it isn't really a gardening day, which is what I'd like to be doing. Oh well, a few MSE bits anyway:
*Did a Ugov survey 1st thing - up to high £30s again.
*Checked to see if retailer website has published my uncomplimentary review. Yes, but no reply as yet. I am going to ask for a refund if one is not offered.
*Bake bread rolls & pizza base.
*Pack coffee, milk & maybe sandwiches for tomorrow's trip to avoid a coffee shop visit.
*Make a big effort to progress 2nd sock of the pair I'm knitting for a gift. I got the 1st one finished & 2nd one cast on last night while watching 'Sewing Bee' & I'm already thinking of what my next stash busting project might be.
*Checked OLB instant messages to see if a resolution had been found to my small complaint. Yes to a reply, nope to a resolution. Will sort it out myself.
*Sorted this week's clean laundry & ironed only what needed it - 5 garments, so that was ok. I can iron 5 things without moaning.
    *Check on seedlings.
*Spotted something in the freezer which would form the basis of a meal next week, so I might start putting a meal plan together.
*Try & get in the mood to continue sorting & clearing my HQ room - I have huge amounts of shredding to do, as took on my parents' paperwork during all the legal processes following their deaths. This is going to take a lot of time so I think I shall need to have a large 'shredding box' & just do a bundle at a time until it's cleared. My shredder sulks & says it's overheating if it sees more than about 20 sheets of paper anyway & I'm sooooooo not buying another one!
    *Update my DFW diary.
I think that's it for today.

  • Hi everyone, I had a NSD yesterday but had to go to Mr T today - was very good and stuck to my list (mainly some toiletries). Only switched heating on for an hour and a half last night as I was working till 10 and DD1 was out at dance class till 8.30!
I have washing on the line so hoping it'll dry and not blow away...
I got a free lunch today as at a network meeting and will make tea from what is in the fridge.

    Hello everyone
I have been lurking, but I am double working again - job plus exam marking, so I'm quite busy again, just for this week.
Seems like lots of people have the same mood I was in for most of last week. Lots of love to all of you, and I hope it passes soon. Even my ds is feeling quite down at the moment, bless him.
I've been getting a few small bits done. Obviously the extra marking really helps with boosting income so it makes a big difference. Other than that, I also got a £50 gift from bee tee for renewing my bb contract. I have had to fork out for a new microwave - but I got one in the sale, and it's a combi thing. I just need to figure out how to use it.
Other than that, in the house and hiding from the back end of Storm Gareth.

    Evening everyone

We have had wind, rain and a little bit of sun today. Luckily I managed to be either driving or inside during most of the rain.

Not much to report here except I ordered yarn for my sock loom (birthday present, last summer) using some of my birthday money, the yarn was 30% off :money:

Must dash, I need to collect dd.

I am still struggling even to have one NSD day in a week.
I'm struggling to be sensible and not spend last minute money.
Ate dinner out of fridge/store tonight. Will work cover in walking distance so all the lovely diesel I pumped into my car today can stay in it. Jubii.
Inspired by Foxgloves I have signed up to do ugov surveys.
Must investigate getting a bread maker, and mentioning that I think I promised uni boy to send yeast so he can bake! He just wants more letters :-)
