    Morning all :hello:

Wet, windy and grim outside this morning. I can feel that we're going to get soaked on the school run :( aim will be to keep smalls dry, I can change when I'm back if needed.

Oh well, one thing I have no control over, weather :rotfl: things I do have control over:
    Check banking
    Check cc
Shuffle some money around when DH is around later and I can get on his banking
Packed lunch for small, including hm cake :D
Eat healthily and track what I eat
Broke something this morning as it dropped on my tiled floor. :( Will look on fleabay or cs for a replacement.
Portion up sc curry I made last night
Wash a couple of pillows and see if I can breathe new life in them

Have a good day all. Stay safe.

    Morning all!

Big hugs to the poorlies or those who are out of sorts. xx

I might be joining the above group today. Felt pretty washed out last night and despite sleeping ok, woke up at 6.15 this morning, got up for water etc then laid in bed for nearly 2 hours half dozing and sulking. Feeling a bit out of sorts - like I might be coming down with something. Still, hoping that brekkie and a coffee will perk me up.

Today's list (may spill into tomorrow):
    • B - done/L - done/D from stores
    • Wash on 30 deg - done
    • Peg washing outside (supposed to be mostly dry here today - hoping that the wind will negate any showers) - done
    • Dry washing away - done
    • Reconcile budget sheet - mostly done. just need OH to wake up now
    • Sow peas outside - done
    • Probably start some other things in the garden - done. Sowed some lettuce between the rows of peas, turnips, wild flower mix. Plus made a little border out of reclaimed tiles.
    • Rotate seedlings - done
    • Water seedlings - done
    • Take in dress
    • Crochet - done
    • No alcohol
    • OH possibly starting his 6-pack diet - meal plan accordingly. Cannot imagine him that lean tbh. It will be weird if he does it. He's just a smallish normal size now. - awating macros from coach
    • Buy bird seed and peanuts and top up feeders. Saw my pair of Robins and the Dunnock this morning when pegging out the washing. And the piggy squirrel.
    • Log my food in free app - done
    • Run a bead of glue along the sole line on my shoe to see if it will stop leaking - done
Big hugs to all. I'm off to chill out and perk up :)

    Morning all,

Ditty, I wouldn't worry to much about the nsd, I just focused on spending less over all.

Still have a poorly boy at home plus a poorly dh (other ds is desperate to be off school ill too!)
So todays list is just about keeping things ticking over
Lots of hot drinks (good for using up various fruit teas etc)
Make a stew in the slow cooker for tonight, hopefully some veg will help them Done
Go to my drs appointment this afternoon - I very nearly cancelled it but its been booked for nearly two weeks and I really should go. Done and got to fit a blood test into my diary now somewhere
Will run the dishwasher on the quick wash as usual.
    Check banking/update spreadsheet
    Sort out house insurance
Order MIL a birthday card, as with the way the week has been I've forgotten it (will go through tcb) Done

Thats about it for me. Take care all.

    Still very windy here.

I slept badly last night and then dd had me up an hour earlier than planned as she wanted some Mummy time. To be honest, she hasn't had as much as normal due to OH being unwell since January, very slowly he is improving, so I understand but I also needed to sleep.

Our boiler stopped working this morning, we think it is the electrics. We have contacted someone to take a look, hopefully, the can fix it. OH has got it working, a fuse had blown in the electrics between the boiler and the manifold :j
We have lit the fire to try and warm the place.

Sorry to hear that there are loads of lurgies going around and affecting so many. also sorry to hear about the boiler issues BB but glad your OH was able to sort it.

I am halfway through a night shift and wishing I was able to find some time to sleep. I thought I would be clever and take on some extra shifts this week as I have some major payments to make but I only got paid for my usual shifts and no idea when I am going to see the rest of my money. To make it worse, I am working extra shifts until the end of the month so only one day off in all that time. Hopefully, it will eventually be worth it though.

I have to do so much in my house but the first thing I plan to do on getting home in the morning is to sleep. I have slowly learned (And understood) how you cannot pour from an empty cup and I am very close to that right now. Once I recharge, I will tackle the rest of the jobs. On a plus note, I found some Superdrug crimson hair colour so plastered it all over the two small-ones hair ready for RND tomorrow (I wont be there in morning to help them get ready so this was my contribution) AND I cleaned the bath, AND S&S the bathroom. Might not seem like a DFW thing for some but as I used to have a cleaner at least once a week to do all this, for me, its BIG!
now to sort the rest out. Need to do kitchen so I stop spending money I don't have on ready made food but lounge is also needing attention. I hope to have a more productive Saturday as long as I get some rest Friday. Kids are off to their dad's at the weekend after their classes so I might have a substantial amount of sunday to get through some stuff also. actually starting to feel excited now. :D

I had some quotes to paint my flat but after reviewing my balance, decided its cheaper to do myself. So what if it doesn't look the best. I will be able to feel some pride every time I look at it. (I hope!) At least, that is the goal. :)

    Morning Campers,
Grrrr. Woke up, gave up, got up. At least I shall get an early start on my job list today:
*Transfer meal plans for next week into my diary.
    *Write shopping list.
*Quick triage of fridge to see what needs using.
*Bake the sourdough loaf I mixed up yesterday.
*Clean whole house using minimal products & washable cloths.
*Make a list of things I can usefully do in town tomorrow to make best use of the car parking fee.
    *Knit
    *Check veggie seedlings.
    *Sow peppers.
    *Do mid-month budget check-in.
*Remind Mr f there are a couple of important things he needs to sort out re new car admin.
*Change household linens & load into washer ready for overnight cheaper laundry.
    *Mending
I think that's quite enough for today - I shall enjoy sinking into a hot bubbly bath when it's all done.
Wishing everyone a peaceful & productive Friday,
    F x

Morning, I'm not sure what we plan to do today, I did ask OH yesterday but he wasn't sure.

    Today's list:
    NSD
    PAD
Home educate the children for free
    Stick to the meal plan
    B/L/D from stores
Turn off lights and appliances not in use
    Check bank accounts
Update spending diary with yesterdays spends

    Possibly:
Post a letter using RM survey stamps - not urgent
    Use world book day vouchers

DS is making today dinner, this is something he has cooked once before. He is not a confident cook, but he needs to learn.

A couple of weeks ago we made a list of the freezer contents and have been making a conscious effort to use things out of their for a few meals a week. I have been vigilant about updating the list of what has been used and what has added, I check with the others daily if they have also done this. Despite all this using things we don't seem to be getting any more room in there. The food we have been using has been a combination of ingredients/quick food (fish fingers, burgers)/leftover portions of meals we've cooked.

Morning all, Another day in illness house today (both ds's and dh home ill) so I'm going to focus on the positives
    So far today I have
    * been for my blood test, didn't grab a costalot on the way out as I'd planned as I didn't even get chance to sit in the waiting room I was called straight in :) The horrible weather must of put people off heading out first thing! (I'd taken a book with me too!) Came home and had coffee here instead, I often go 12hrs+ between evening meal & breakfast (as I usually have brunch instead but because I knew I had to have fasted for my blood test I felt hungry all night) Like magicgirl was saying we've got to look after ourselves
    * cooked some sausages that are best by today - will have cold at some point or chopped into pasta or something
    * made a chilli con carne, no one has much of an apetite but I'm thinking if there is something just ready to grab and reheat, I've got chance of them having something other then toast!
    * portioned up the leftover stew - easy grab & reheat

    Still to do
    ** check banking/update spreadsheet
** finish triaging the fridge, freezer what's not going to be used Done
** chop some peppers, if I put them in a dish in front of kiddo's they'll nibble on them I'm sure & a good source of vitamin C Done

    **
Hopefully I'll add more as the day goes on.

    Take care all.

HappyKitties - Don't worry about not replying sooner. I know you are busy & also have ongoing health issues with which to deal. Just keep taking care of yourself, & if you manage to reply, well that's just a bonus! (And you've got those kitties to keep happy too. Ours was collected from the cattery yesterday & has been in a funny mood ever since! He took one look outside his cat flap this morning & reversed back into the house at speed - chucking it down with rain. He's been snoozing ever since, so I reckon he'll be in a better mood when he wakes up!)

Many thanks foxglovesmuch appreciated. The latest is that the health authority have agreed to fund my spinal unit and want every penny accounted for. Frustratingly the health authority, if they hadn't messed everyone about for 7 months wouldn't have to be paying for the extra tests now needed and the original tests repeated:mad:. The spinal unit are well aware that there has been a deterioration in my health, so are covering their backs and have warned that surgery plans might need to change and will not take any risks of missing anything. Such a waste of everyone's time and resources esp when everything was ready to go last year:(

1LL I hope DS and DH are feeling abit better
Hugs to everyone feeling out of sorts at the minute, and that includes foxgloves cat. The weather alone is making me feel miserable. We have had wind and rain all night.it is really bad this morning. My cats have gone back to bed. I crashed at 6pm last night so actually feel good for a change.

Managed to sort out one issue at work, it's a start.
Behind on my spends book, slow on my decluttering and dont feel like I'm achieving anything at the minute.......but as soon as I came on the thread I jumped off to check quidco and back again:)
Very little shopping done, still eating out of the freezer
Have been monitoring cat food sachet prices on Amaz@n. Had a 20% voucher so very worthwhile, ordered a big box this week to keep stocks up. Worked out that it costed me only 1.90 for a box of 12 Whiskas sachets.
    Have been checking banking-everything good
Caught up on RM surveys-had started to fall behind.
That's about it from me. Have a good Saturday everyone x

Yesterday I did all my main list, decided against walking to post a letter and spend vouchers as it was vile. Instead I sorted some more paperwork, office looks better for it. Ds cooked dinner, I have rewritten the recipe so it's easier to use next time. I accepted an invitation for the correctly delivered survey at the beginning of April.

Very wet and windy here again.

I have just reviewed our grocery budget spends for 31st December to 17th March (tomorrow) and we are under :j

    Plans for today:
    NSD Done
    PAD Done
Stick to the meal plan Done
    B/L/D from stores Done
Home educate children for free Done
Wash the stair carpet, looking after what we have Done
    Make porridge Done
    Make bread Done
Look for hot cross bun recipe Done
Charge phone and use charged phone alarm as recommended by Ally Done
