    Many thanks for the start Ally first thing I did is nip over to check quidco. I always do it when I see ur list.
    Have been MIA, RL has just got in the way.
    I went back to work into some major issues that i have been trying to sort out. Have meetings this week to see if things can move forward.
    foxgloves many thanks for ur kind words the other week. I felt bad as I didnt get chance to reply and didnt even get chance to follow the thread further as health took a dip but back up again-fantastic emergency not even my main GP but looking after me, acted really quick.
    Welcome JEdwards it's a fab thread, I love it, even if I cant post u keep the good habits, they become part of ur life.
    Banking has been checked every morning. My SF had terrible problems with fraud and his account being hit. He is the type that would fall for a fraudsters trick, he is a fraudsters dream.
    Even when the bank changed his account they kept trying to hit him and raid the account. He wont talk about it but DB said it gave the bank a massive headache and has alot of security passwords now set up on the account which DB also helps to monitor.
    D. Debits all okay and everything running smoothly
    Have been eating from the freezer. DD was over for the weekend, extras bought in but all budgeted for
    Have been monitoring cat sachet prices on Amaz@n. Many times it is much easier and cheaper to buy from here, which I have been doing recently
    Trying to do more decluttering but haven't really done much. Just haven't felt like it. Charity items have been shipped out which has made the place look tidier but it needs a good tidy
    Just catching up on RM surveys and sending birthday presents out-fell behind on both.i use the RM stamps for postage of presents.
    Weather is really miserable so it's a stay indoors day with a meeting later to prepare for.
    Have a great day everyone x

    HappyKitties - Don't worry about not replying sooner. I know you are busy & also have ongoing health issues with which to deal. Just keep taking care of yourself, & if you manage to reply, well that's just a bonus! (And you've got those kitties to keep happy too. Ours was collected from the cattery yesterday & has been in a funny mood ever since! He took one look outside his cat flap this morning & reversed back into the house at speed - chucking it down with rain. He's been snoozing ever since, so I reckon he'll be in a better mood when he wakes up!)

    Oh my days.....could it possibly rain any more? It's been wazzing it down since I got up & is cold, grey & miserable. As much as I'd like to be outside in the garden, it's defo an indoor day for me today. These are my money saving efforts atm:
    *Updated my March grocery budget tracker sheet.
    *Updated main March budget as I'd estimated £13 too much for a bill.
    *Paid my CC in full - we really only use CCs for planned spending that's already budgeted for, so we can accrue loyalty points for vouchers.
    *Rounded up small change for the shrapnel jar.
    *Wrote a not very favourable product review online - it may result in a refund. I'm not expecting one, but if it happens, I shan't turn it down!
    *Placed an online order to make use of a £5 off voucher for a store I have little chance to visit before its expiry date. Was very sensible & stuck to stocking up on a product we regularly use.
    *Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
    *Overnight Economy 7 laundry done & drying on heated airer. Bah!! Paying for drying time, but no way is anything getting pegged out today.
    *Make a batch of garlic flatbreads to use up some frankly past its best yoghurt.
    *mr f is on a really late shift tonight so has taken leftovers from last night for a hot meal at work & I shall finish the rest of the leftovers for my main meal later. I do like cooking once & eating twice.
    *Downstairs heating off until much later - will tuck a hot water bottle behind my back if I am still feeling the cold through my long sleeved top, jumper & massive poncho!
    *Organise all legal documents relating to my Mum's estate into a folder as we prepare to move onto the next stage of all the legal processes.
    *Earned another £1.50 doing a Prolific survey.
    *BIg filing session - as always happens when I bring my stair basket upstairs for sorting out.
    *Knit more of my current stash busting project for the presents box.
    That's likely to be it for today - have got off to a good start - garlic flatbreads next on the list, so I can have one for my lunch with some cottage cheese & beetroot & apple salad. Ingredients all weighed out, just got to mix up & get them rolled out.
    Stay dry, everyone (& warm),
    F xx

  • Interesting note to anyone who is considering a bread maker. I ran mine over night last night and saw that it used about 30p of elec.

    Given that the flour is 69p/kilo and the rest of the ingredients minimal I estimate that with the elec, a loaf costs about 75p to make. Plus they don't have a load of additives in and fill you up better than bought bread.

    Morning all,
    Thanks CLf.

    Quick post from me as ds1 is still in bed (temp not as high as yesterday thankfully) and ds2 is having a later start as I'll take him to the bus rather then breakfast club this morning.
    I didn't get much done at all yesterday as ds1 was asleep on me for quite a bit of it, so today will depend on how he is when he gets up.
    I could do to
    * pop to the shop, running very low on milk and bread - can get dh to collect on his way home if I can't get out Done & picked up some extra bits and pieces to try and tempt ds1 to eat something
    * take old router to the post office to send back using returns bag that came with the new one loving having a post office in a shop near us now, as plenty of parking and can pop in easily as its on the way back from gym/school/work etc whereas before it had to be a trip into town
    * wipe down all doors/handles
    * run the washing machine on the quick wash Done and out on the line
    * run the dishwasher on the quick wash Done
    * check banking/update spreadsheet Done
    * look around for new home insurance cover
    * general tidy round
    * washing away from the other day (it got thrown into a washing basket after some rain so might need ironing Kind of done-ish - well some bits put away, some bits to iron and a few other bits at the bottom of the basket are still damp so I've put them on the line again for a blow
    * make families lunches for tomorrow
    ** Received trial packs for rm surveys to restart, put the free stamps away, these come in really handy for Christmas (and put the dates on calendar to remind me when to post them)

    ** Made a lush curry to finish off some chicken tonight, again using spices from simpiyc00k kit (although didn't have many of the other ingredients so have free styled it anyway and added in lots of boiled potato to pad it out a bit, smells fab ( only 5 more of these kits to use up now and most of them are marinades)

    ** Ironed what needed doing, only 6 things (and no work shirts so that was much quicker!)

    **

    Thats my start, I'll try and get a couple of things done now before luckyboy1 gets up.

    Take care all.
