NECTAR treats - I am appalled

My Nectar treat offer letter arrived yesterday - I see they are now saying that if you want one of the popular treats you should wait until next year to book it. ALL of the pampering treats are popular it seems.Ellie

I still don't see what all the fuss is about?!? For goodness sake, it was FREE, and if you can't make use of the voucher, you can't make use of it!! Sainsbury weren't under any obligation to give anything to anyone, and given the amount of grief they've got, I doubt they'll ever bother again!
Alison, I'm sure your small company would have done a "better" job, but running a small company is ALOT different to running a nation wide huge company, so you can't compare the two unless you've managed both types at a high level.
As for disabled people being given a gym voucher, I was under the impression that gyms had saunas, jacuzzis, swimming pools etc... which is what I would have used mine for! If they asked "Are you disabled?" on their sainsbury card application form, I'm sure it would have made the BBC headlines!!
Now, does anyone want my manicure, because the appointments are on wednesdays and last one is at 4.30pm, which I can't make unless I take an afternoon off work!? Or maybe I'll exchange it for a gym voucher that one of those ungrateful people threw back in Sainsbury's face... :-o
As I said in my previous postings the word FREE is debatable. Not going to argue that point further.
Yes a big nationwide company is different - they have the money and resources to hire people to do a high profile job properly.
Of course they will do it again it is a PR and advertising stunt.
As I said before - they don't have to ask if any one is disabled. (and if they did want to, provided that it is for the purpose of ensuring that appropriate services are offered, there is not a problem with that)
I daresay that gyms have all those things. I have MS and cannot swim. Heat related things saunas, jacuzzis can aggrevate this condition. I am sure they have alot of fantastic services but unfortunately I am unable to use them.
I could have a coffee there I suppose - oh did I mention the gym they proposed was in Grays Essex, I live in the middle of Kent! Long way to go for a coffee!0 -
Yeah I had the exact same thing happen to me. The minute the offer arrived on my doorstep I signed in and selected my first and second choice, facial and manicure respectively. Yet when my offer came through I was offered a day out.
This isn't a complaint just an expression of disappointment after all the hype.0 -
I got mine a couple of days ago, looked at it and thought "this'll never work" and put it to one side. Looks like my thoughts were right!0
