So the property you are looking at buying has a loft room instead of a conservatory - I would say that would make the house more valuable. So the other house with a conservatory getting snapped up at £230k would probably put the house with loft room that you are wanting at £235k+......

Also, the one you are wanting to buy also has a garage, whereas the one with a conservatory doesn't.

We're going to be looking at other properties now anyway as these sellers are obviously not serious. Not got the time or patience for games. They can cling on for that offers over £235k and risk another chain collapse.

I came on here looking for some advice not to be shouted at by a bunch of strangers lol.

  • Thanks guys. They are being very stubborn.and have not reduced the asking price since it has been listed. A house across the way was listed as offers over £230,000 and was snapped up within a few weeks. I don't know why they are being so pathetic and unrealistic.

Our final and Best offer of £230,000... Any normal person would snap it up especially from a FTB. But we'll see

Why "especially an FTB"? what makes you so special?

FTBs have no chain and so less need to complete.

You May have pixxed the sellers off. You can't offer low and expect to be welcomed with open arms. At the moment you are an irritant to them. If you can't afford the property there are plenty others on the market. Maybe this ones not for you.

Haha erm I can afford that property. I probably earn more than you! I'm not an idiot willing to get ripped off, maybe you are but that's up to you isn't it

Omg this thread ‘Katetheplate’ you may earn more than other people on this thread and have a ‘substantial deposit’ (good for you!) but money cannot buy you class or etiquette.

Have a lovely evening browsing other properties.
  • What has the size of a deposit got to do with anything? It makes no difference to a seller if you have a 10% deposit or 70% deposit as long as have a mortgage offer.

In reality, if you behave in person anything like you do on here. I expect you could offer full asking and they will probably decline it. Sound like more hassle than you are worth.
