And you got it so good on you for seeing it through.
My win was Derby too, I hope you can help to reassure people that it is all worth it and that the thought of court isn't as bad as you might think.0 -
Based on that then, here's a brief run through of my time in Court today...
The hearing room (room two) was quite small. The waiting area is in the main foyer of the court after you go through the scanner you find where your case is heard from the huge list on the left hand side. When you go in, you go through the usher's room into the hearing room where there are 3 rows of tables and chairs before the judges bench. He introduced everyone and as I was unrepresented, explained how it works. He was really good with all that. He allowed me to use a bank statement I hadn't entered in the witness statement and referred back to a lot of the detail in the defence (some of which he dismissed as clearly the POFA rules had been followed regarding keeper liability) the worst bit was waiting for the judgment as you just think there's more you could have said but he let me read from my prepared notes which was more than the other side had and the abuse of process mentions certainly helped.
Sorry it's not formatted well but it's copy/paste from another app!0 -

Maybe I didn't hear the Judge clearly but he seemed to suggest that the steps taken by VCS in obtaining the keeper details were valid and correct? I'm trying to see if I can get a copy of the judgement for further clarity0

Is it worth another article in the Derby evening telegraph to report your win?
Could apply more pressure and help the ongoing cases same carpark.0 -
A friend suggested this yesterday and whilst I said I'd happily use my experience to help others, I'm not sure I have the sort of face that works well in the mocked up 'victory' pics they'd want to publish!0

Oh well, it would have been annoying to the PPC spreading the news of another victory and knowledge of their underhand tactics.
I'm sure there were hundreds caught in the same trap at the same location!0 -

An actual transcript can be provided ..... at a price, and it's costly. Unless there is a real significance in the judgment, or you have money a-plenty, then it may not be worth the investment. You apply for it via the court.
My understanding is that you will receive a copy of the actual judgment, but it's little more than a sentence or two to say you won. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks for that. I did find some info regarding transcripts (mentioned folios being the commodity you purchase but how many I'd need...?) so if I at least get a copy of the judgment that's good enough for me0

Until I read a post somewhere (here or on PePiPoo) a few days/weeks ago, I always understood the copy of the judgment to be free. But that post mentioned paying for it which caused me to question my previous understanding. But I'm sure it comes through to you, gratis. Let us know please. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front.
