inherent entrapment (his word)
Sensible Judge! Who was he and which court?
Well done to you, no WS is not great but not fatal, if you attend and raise issues.

PS: Did you ask for your costs to be awarded against the Claimant, AllCingEye?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks to all for you comments and more importantly support and guidance.
And yeah, while it proves cases can be won without a WS, its NOT good practice!0 -

Good effort!
did you submit your costs?0 -
It was the County Court at Derby (Combined Court) and Judge Roberts (though that was the listing for the original date & time - it got moved to a later time at the 11th hour and I've got to admit that with all of this going off today, it may have been a different judge)
I didn't enter any expenses because I genuinely didn't incur any and as I said to the Judge, it was a matter of principal for me0 -
Does anyone know how or where I can get a transcript of the case or a copy of the Judgement?0
-
It is always advised to enter costs for time spent in researching your case and lost time with family, it's going to have cost them a few hundred pounds regardless.
You could have used that money to pay for the Judgement but as you say the principle was worth more to you.
Well done!0 -
Thanks again - yes I guess in fairness to nearest and dearest who have been through this with me (blood pressure check during the time in Court today would testify!!) maybe some recompense could have been forthcoming but like I said, really it was the principal of being right that I wanted0
