Oh i hope she is ok?
Yes please for recipe
Yes she's fine. Just needed some strong painkillers following surgery on Wednesday. The hospital said they'd given her 10 days worth of tablets but had in fact only given her enough for 3 days! She's now got some stronger ones which should be enough for another 3-4 days so hopefully that will be enough.
The recipe for the lemon meringue pie:
https://slimmingandhealthy.com/amazing-syn-free-lemon-meringue-pie/
As I said in my previous post with the sweetener this isn't really syn free any more but 0.5 per pie. It's up to you if you syn it or not.

Go careful at clubbercise Sary, it's quite high impact on the old feet and joints - brilliant fun though!
TBH Maman I'm not really a fan of those 'pretend' SW treats made of egg whites and sweeteners, I'd rather just have a kitkat for a couple of syns more and much less effortI've not got anything like that in the house now anyway so going to try to stick to my 2 syn hot chocolate as my 'reward' for getting through the day
(I am out of the house most evenings at yoga or running, I think that's why I'm so exhausted and feel I deserve a treat
)
I'm getting fed up of making SW friendly packed lunches already after two weeks at work! So far I've had roast veg and quinoa/couscous, salad, pesto pasta, and soup. Apart from the soup which comes from the freezer, it all feels like a lot of preparation.
This week I've got some WW wraps to try with some 'extra tasty chicken pieces' (free) and I'm going to shred some red cabbage and carrots to go in - does that sound OK?! Seems a bit random but I don't like peppers which seems to be the obvious choice
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. The sun has come out this morning after incessant rain all day yesterday and I have a weird urge to get my hoe out! xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
After a very boozy Friday night and, more importantly, no drama with the ex, I'm back on it (starting yesterday)
I've got veg that needs using up from last weeks' shop so I'll be looking up some new recipes to cook and freeze.
I made the bacon chilli pasta bake from on here (though I tweeked it slightly to use up the veg I had and haven't put the cheese on so that I can choose at that meal whether I want it.)
That's portioned and in the freezer and I've also made some 'magic rice' which is just rice, a load of whatever veg I have to hand, whatever meat I have to hand and soy sauce. That's also in the freezer.
Both can be taken for lunch as is or used for my evening meal with extra veg or salad.
I love the idea of the roast veg and quinoa tete so I'm going to make some of that and put it in tubs.0 -
Hello all, just popping in to catch up and say hi.
Weigh in last week was -2 taking me to three and half stone lost, so plodding on in the right direction still.
Hope all keeping well, I don't post often but do read and this group helps to keep me on track, so thanks.

Ended up with a few syns yesterday as had some half fat creme fraische with my lemon meringue pie.
Today's plan:
B - boiled eggs and asparagus
L - carrot & lentil soup - will make extra and freeze a couple of portions
D - HB beef & onions, potatoes, mashed swede (needs using up); green veg from freezer
HEA - milk
HEB - not sure
Syns - none planned but may have a couple of G&Ts

joedenise What is HB beef & onions?0
-
HB is shorthand for Hairy Bikers. The recipe is in the list of recipes at the start of the thread. It's basically braised beef & onions but I usually add at least carrots & sometimes mushrooms & peppers depending on what I've got in the fridge! Usually serve with potatoes of some sort plus extra veg.
Definitely worth a try.
