Thankyou Beanie I have been given the number of the local Parkinson's advisor and told she will come when the pack arrives ( phoned DWP on Wed ) ,in my working life I have helped people complete them and know we must "accentuate the negative" !Never thought we would be in this position ,saw you talking about shattered dreams on another diary and it is that.

No I don't have a diary ,fortunate to have no debts or mortgage so wouldn't know where to put one .
Post on the 5 pleasures sometimes ,but struggling at the moment .

Thankyou ,I admire you very much

I did well, I had a mix up of fruit and veg before the game to tame my hunger, then at half time my wife timed it right and did a SW Chinese banquet. Ive had 2 SW mint chock bars, Irish stew in slow cook ready for tonight's super and not a pint in sight even though at half time I tried persuading wife to go get some Guiness.

    Game was so intense.

What a lovely thread this is. Sorry to hear that some of you are going through the mill:A. Remember that what we eat (and drink:o) is something that we can be in control of and we'll feel better and healthier for it.:)
Well done on your losses sue, tie, penny and lioness.:T
I don't think there's much chance of TTD having a loss this week. He's probably well past his 12 pints by now!:D

Hope you enjoyed the cinema tie. I'm told that women are portrayed well in the Captain Marvel film.

Why not plan some SW friendly treats for the evenings tete to help you keep off the chocolate. What about making yourself some Eton mess type puddings with meringue, yogurt and fruit? Or do you have the energy to go out in the evenings. I find when I go dancing it keeps me out of mischief.;)

We've been out to eat (again:o) today. That should be the last time now for a couple of weeks. I had my SW breakfast (beans on toast) and then 2 courses at an Italian followed by ginger ice cream at the theatre. My meal was good: bruschetta followed by salmon with spinach and potatoes. So mainly just bread and wine syns there. I probably won't want to eat again today. Back on plan tomorrow and then seriously reining in from Monday.

It occurred to me penny that I, too, will be going on holiday in 12 weeks time. I'd really like to be lower down my target range by then so I'm going to make the most of the next couple of quiet weeks although we're away for a few days before Easter.

Wish I was too, but my weight loss is more important to me right now. I feel I did well, and although I thought I was going to waiver and give in, I've been on my best behaviour all week and was determined to safeguard my efforts this weekend. looking forward to WI Monday night, and I fingers crossed I get 1 1/2 maybe 2 off and get my shiny 1st award, now that would make smile all week and give me a big boost.

After I posted I decided to make some syn free lemon meringue pies for pudding for today and tomorrow but ended up having to take DD1 to the hospital (same one I was in Wednesday!). She was triaged and told to go to the GP surgery attached to the hospital. Walked round there and there was about a 3 hour wait as they seemed to be sending everyone in there so we ended up taking her to our local walk in GP surgery. In and out in less than an hour so took her to our bungalow for dinner as was getting really hungry by then! So there's only one lemon meringue pie left for tomorrow - no doubt DH will decide our DD ate my one! If we'd thought about it we should have just done that in the first place as it's far closer than the hospital.

If anyone would like the recipe let me know and I'll post it up. It's quite an old recipe which is why it's sun free and I don't bother synning the sweetener but if you do they work out at 0.5 Syns each.

    Evening all,

I'm not sure who was asking, but the Jordans Skinny Syrups (and Monin sugar free ones) are available on Amazon, but they are quite pricey (£7-£10 for 750ml) but lots of flavours.

maman there isn't too much SW unfriendly stuff in the freezer now, and most of what I have bought recently is low fat SW friendly. I picked up some 5% fat burgers last week in Aldi, and they have 5% fat minced beef too, so going to use those next week, plus the chicken fillets. Being off work means I can really plan meals. I'm finding switching between a box salad or porridge for lunch is good for me too. I even feel happier sticking to my weekday plan at the weekends now, it saves me having to think about what to have too much. I like that if I have the salad I have a HEB to one side that day if I get peckish and need an extra snack or supper.

I worked late yesterday, it was my last day in the office for almost two weeks, as I have some long-overdue holiday time to take. Spending most of it at home, so lots of jobs to get done, and decorating still to finish.

    Meal plan yesterday was:
    B - banana & nectarine
    L - M&S tuna layered salad (4) & 0% greek yog with strawberries & mango
D - M&S teriyaki chicken and noodles - not sure of the syns (9?)
HEB - wm bread with cucumber and extra low fat herb cheese HEA1
    HEA2 milk in tea/coffee

    Today's plan:
    B - banana & nectarine
L - porridge HEB made with water with apples (1.5) sugar (1)
snack - 0% yogurt with mango & strawberries
D - SW chicken tikka masala with cauliflower rice & hm mint raita made with 0% yogurt
    Syns - McD's regular latte (7)
    HEA milk in tea/coffee

Tomorrow is my sister's surprise party - and the dress fits!! yay :):j
I'm planning my food so that I don't have to be tempted by beige food, and banking on there being some salad bits, but just in case, I'm taking a tub with fruit in to snack on, and a couple of sachets of porridge that I could make up if needed with hot water back in our hotel room. Drinks will be diet ones, rather than fruit juices. Any suggestions for non alcoholic drinks when out? I'm a tea or coffee drinker pretty much most of the time, and we don't tend to go out-out much. I even order a tea or coffee with a meal when out (yes, I really am that sad ;) ) I presumed a diet coke was the best bet, not my favourite. Ordinarily I'd have an orange juice and soda water, but don't really want to waste syns on the juice.

In other news, I am booked to go to a clubbercise class on Thursday, and I have some new gym gear on order, and I've bought a new water bottle to keep hydrated. I am keeping my fingers crossed that my skechers trainers will be supportive enough for the class and not aggravate my foot pain. I'm determined to move more if I can, and this will hopefully appeal to me because I'm a frustrated (very old :rotfl: ) clubber. I'm even looking forward to getting some glow sticks! If I like it enough to keep going I will then invest in some new trainers, but I've got to keep going to justify the expense.

May be off grid until Monday as we set off tomorrow afternoon, so have a good rest of the weekend all.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
