Evening all,
Thanks for the chart chrisv.
Plodding on here. Work brings with it stress but distractions, so at least I don’t have time to eat even though I happily would.
Today’s plan:
B - banana, apple
L - porridge HEB, with water & little milk from HEA, sugar (2), 0% Greek yog with strawberries and mango
D - slow cooked beef with sw roast spuds, cabbage, broccoli & carrots, gravy (2)
Extra syns: boss got me a costa americano with whole milk (3)
Am going to attempt a really good speed week in the hope I shift a couple of extra lbs before the next weekend when I’ve got a party to go to. I’ve a dress i want to feel confident enough to wear again. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -

Evening all well done losers, stay the samers, and gainers.
WI tonight, 1/2 on, the poor week I had has finally caught up, not that I'm bothered as its going to go away this week, feeling really determined and focused.
Its market day tomorrow, which means fruit salad week and mixed veg and mushy pea gravy on Sunday.
I do have a question though, Being die hard Welsh Rugby fan, I used to drink upto 12 pints on a gameday, I've been trying my best not to go to "church" to drink that much and stayed at home, but I find the excitement and stress of the game is making me reach for alternatives to booze such as crisps and snacks well its not "making" me reach its just an excuse really, and I tend to over indulge, So without having to arrange a power cut to the house and not watch the game on purpose to secure a weight loss this week, what can I do to stop myself going for the snacks? Tie my hands behind my back? I tend to get to half time and raid the kitchen, I thought I had a plan last weekend where I locked away the munchies, but instead I turned to mug shotz, because I tried the SW ready meal threw it in the microwave and then forgot about it because it wasn't ready by the time our lads came back on and as the kettle was already just boiled threw 2 packets in a big daddy of a cup, I know, but on plan when I can! and I fully own it if the scales swing the wrong way.
Should I aim to have a BIG filling meal ready by half time, if so suggestions on what I can make, my old routine was a massive kebab or Chinese ordered for half time, and pint, do I lock the munchies in the shed again and lock the shed lock key in the car and give the car key to my wife, this time with the mug shotz, so Im sat atleast something!.
Idea's, comment, criticism's all welcome below.
Oh and my wife lost 2lb to gain her 1 1/2 award so I was chuffed to bits.0 -
First weigh in for me last night and I lost 3lbs .
I'm looking for some meal inspiration...I don't like cooking so I tend to batch cook and freeze in portions and then just prepare a carb and veg/salad.
I'd love some ideas of your favourites that I can try out. It can be very easy to get stuck in a rut and I want to have a good choice in the freezer.0 -
Well done to TTD and yes, I'd plan a big indulgent meal for half time. Something with fat wedges & salad - maybe a SW kebab? Or curry? Or make yourself a Chinese Fakeaway; stick it in the foil trays and it'll be like the old days!0

I'm going to try and do the Kebab but its almost impossible to get 5% fat lamb, or do I just use the 5% beef mince as a substitute?, or I'll do a scotch broth or Irish stew in the slow cooker and do some scotch eggs and SW spring roles as munchies.0 -
I love this thread. Lots of tips here. I need to lose weight for the summer so will check back regularly for tips0

Pppffffffftttttt big sigh of relief and will ignore my scales at home from now on!-2.5lbs here this week, am so pleased. I knew I had stuck to plan 100%, but still. Really feel for the other poster who put on, despite also sticking to plan, it must be so frustrating!
FrankieM, I made the Mulligatawny from the SW Jan/Feb mag recently, it was yummy. Very easy, FREE and full of speed. Let me know if you want the recipe.
Bubbs, thank you, I don’t drink alcohol but should really up the water intake 👍.
I was so flustered today, I ventured out without my shopping bags. I usually do a big grocery shop after group. Instead I just bought some fruit on the way home this afternoon to keep us going til tomorrow, still have plenty of other stuff in the fridge. Made a big pan of bolognaise last night full of veg, had some of it with courgetti for dinner yesterday. May turn the rest of it into a chilli for dinner tonight 😉😋.
Love reading people’s tips and results. Does everyone know about the SW website (for members only, sorry) where you can input your daily food intake in the Weight Loss Planner? After doing the initial 4 weeks worth of paper food diary, this now really helps me keep focussed and you can see at a glance how much of the food you have had was Speed and how many Syns you have left for the day. I also put in my activity on a daily basis (dogwalk of one hour most days), which gets logged and should get me a Gold Award eventually 👍.
And a big Thank You to chrisv for keeping track of us all in the weekly table :T.
