I feel your pain! Some weeks I can only manage 0.4lb, or a measly 0.2lb. However, I did get 1.5lb this week, after several weeks of not much movement, and a STS (I'd been unwell too, so that was probably more the reason). At least it's a loss, and over the course of a year it'd add up to almost 2 stone loss, and that's what I try to console myself with.

TTD what a horrid situation to be in, but I admire your commitment to keep looking after yourself, and focussing on your children when life is in turmoil. Keep at it, and we can try to support you here too if you need it.

I didn't get to post last night as I had a horrid migraine after work, and ended up going to bed early to sleep it off. Thankfully it was gone when I woke up :T

What a difference a week makes in the weather!! Blowing itself mental out there in E.Mids where I am, so definitely not spent any time in the garden.

    Food plan today:
brunch - LO hm bolognese with LO pasta from last night's dinner with parmesan sprinkle (2)
Snack - 0% greek yogurt with apple, mango & strawberries
D - garlic & herb chicken breast with salad, pickles, baked spud, butter (2) beans & cheese HEA1
    HEA2 milk in tea/coffee
    no HEB planned

OH said at dinner he is really pleased I've decided to do SW as he's eaten some of the best meals ever, and he's also lost weight, about 9lb, and now at the lightest he's ever weighed since I met him almost 20 years ago (he's down to 12st 9lb .... wish I was :rotfl:)

Just watching the F1 qualifying on TV then we're off to Aldi to stock up on healthy food for the week. I've go an interview on Monday morning, so trying to get a bit of info online in readiness for it. Anyone work in the NHS and got any tips for me? :rotfl:

Oh, and for the record, black pudding syns will always be safe with me _pale_
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Those half pounds are really adding up though! Losing slowly is the best way to lose in the long run (might not seem like it at the moment though!). If it comes off slowly it's less likely to go back on.

    Raining here too Bubbs.

    Rain and wind gone here.:D

Just to report back on the meatballs : we enjoyed them but... DH found the sauce a bit spicy but I knew he would as it had real chillies in it (but he ate it all bless him). Overall it made a change but considering similar ingredients I'd prefer good old Bolognese. :)

I have another portion in the freezer but doubt I'll make it again any time soon. :)

Feeling really fat tonight. Nothing to do with the meatballs, I think it's just Easter break catching up. :(

Was it you Maman that said you couldn't get the pork mince for the meatballs so were just going to make them with beef mince? That could be the reason why you didn't really enjoy the meatballs - I find meatballs made with 1/2 beef and 1/2 pork mince are a much nicer texture than just beef.

Although having said that I prefer to use pork mince with some lambs liver to make faggots in an nice thick onion gravy! Yummy.

No, I bought the pork mince from Sainsburys as Aldi didn't do 5%. I think I just prefer the mince stirred through the pasta as in Bolognese rather than in pieces IYSWIM.

I've got some pork mince left so I'll make pork burgers. I know I like those... with chips. :D

Don't think I've ever made pork burgers! Do you add anything to them as I find pork quite bland usually? Was thinking maybe some dry stuffing mix for a bit of flavouring. I know would be a few syns (think it's about 4 for 25g) so not much for each burger.

DH doing most of the cooking today:D:

B - sausages (2 syns), egg, baked beans, tomatoes, peppers, black pudding (5 syns!) mushrooms
L - cheesy pizza toast (HEA, HEB)
D - BBQ beer can chicken (but using diet ginger beer, LOL!), roast potatoes, roasted veg (carrots, peppers, courgette, butternut squash), Brussels & peas

    HEA1 - milk in drinks
    HEA2 - cheese
Syns - sausages 2; black pudding 5; not sure if I'll have a couple of G&Ts tonight but may just stick to diet tonic (stuck to diet ginger beer yesterday:A)

    Have a good day everyone.
