No, I bought the pork mince from Sainsburys as Aldi didn't do 5%. I think I just prefer the mince stirred through the pasta as in Bolognese rather than in pieces IYSWIM.

I've got some pork mince left so I'll make pork burgers. I know I like those... with chips. :D
    Morning :D
Aldi do do 5% pork mince as i buy mine there think its £1.99 , in my store it's not where you think it would be its on the top shelf.
When i make burgers i use half pork mince and half beef mince as they are not as dry and herbs and a dash of Worcester sauce :D
Beanie i have joined you <

I did look and they had mixed pork and beef mince but I couldn't see any pork on its own. I'll look again. :o

Don't think I've ever made pork burgers! Do you add anything to them as I find pork quite bland usually? Was thinking maybe some dry stuffing mix for a bit of flavouring. I know would be a few syns (think it's about 4 for 25g) so not much for each burger

    Denise

I add chopped onion and dried sage and anything else to hand like chopped cornichon or capers plus seasoning. It just makes a change from the usual beef burgers although I add stuff to those too especially onion. The BGTY and Aldi beef burgers are just plain beef and they're very good. All variations on a theme. :)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, half banana, skinny syrup
    L: veggie omelette with beetroot
D: beef in fake red wine with mushrooms and onions, SW roast potatoes, swede & carrot mash, cauli, broccoli, white cabbage and maybe red cabbage too
    Syns: cornflour 1, weekend wine:D

I'm doing my usual mass cooking of Speed veg today to give me plenty of LOs for lunches.

Thanks for that bubbs . I'll take a look next visit.:)

They might sell different things in different stores but I'd be surprised if it applies to 5% meat. Strangely I tried to buy dried rosemary this week as I'd finished a jar I bought in Aldi in Milan. (I like going to supermarkets abroad to see what they sell and buying a useful souvenir to remind me of my holiday). They don't sell rosemary locally so I had to get it in Sainsburys.

  • WI as usual tomorrow at 7pm reporting that I have been on plan and focused to ensuring I am not going to let this week derail my slimming world. I’ve been with my kids nearly all week, and I’ve had about 5 hours sleep all week but I have been focused and counting every drop of syns I put in. And putting loads of speed inside me fruit veg the lot. Max syns per day I have is about 7.5 when I eat a 30g chilli heatwaves doritos.
