You need to do this.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

This reading is 59748. Which means your use since the end of November is 550 kWh, and your annual use in the region of 2100 kWh, which is typical.
Now you have to get your supplier to accept your current reading as 59749, use the meter read of 59193, and amend the opening reading. They can then rebill you something much more reasonable. However you are going to be persistent and perhaps seek assistance of Citizen's advice if necessary.
Someone here will calculate what your bill might be. Good luck.
Suggest you take and photo of weekly readings until this is sorted. Expect the reading to go up by about 40 per week0 -
Hi,
here's the photie, meter reading: 59748,0 -
When you read your dials you take the one at the left which is on 6, but look at the next dial which has passed 9 and almost at 0. So that means the reading is 59...
The next dial is between 7 and 8 so 597..
The next dial is pointing at 5, but the following dial is reading 8
So the reading is 59748.0 -
Thanks so much. I read the first number as 6 as it's right on the 6! I think I'm going to get it wrong each time. Maybe I will send a photo each month and they can judge0
