    Yes a £1000 a year.

Tell us a bit more about your flat - modern, converted from a house, victorian ?

Young baby = lots of washing + Tumble Dryer ? Both home all day ?

Frugal I put that number in as monthly. Is it yearly then?

To get comparison you have to give estimate of yearly usage.

1 bed flat in a Victorian flat.

Do washing every couple of days but do not use a tumble dryer. I use the kettle and microwave the most. We are home most of the day.

Appliances I have: portable record player, sky box, PlayStation, 2 x televisions, use a hairdryer daily, one lamp, kettle, microwave, washing machine.

A few thinks aren't switched off at the socket. Would this help?

Maybe the previous tenant had a cannabis factory running....

What you can do over the next few days to a week is take an actual meter reading at around the same time each day. Post it here each time (or wait until you have a few and then post it). That way we can see what your daily usage is and how that compares to the estimates.

When you moved in was the supplier GNE ? If so that would explain the continuation of the wrong estimate.

As the MMR of Nov and your reading of Feb are less that their opening read it is quite possible that their computer is ignoring the readings.

You need to convince that your reading is correct and that means a photo and a formal complaint if they don't accept it. Once you've got the current readings accepted you can then argue the past error.

Robin: GNE was the provider when I moved so I just carried it on. I did email a photo but will do so again and start the complaints process. After that MMR reading it just goes back to estimates. Until my reading.

anybody growing cannabis doesn't get a big electric bill because they usually have the meter 'fixed'.

Are you sure the current reading is 60758 and not 59748 ? Reading the dials as it approaches and passes zero is tricky. 59748 and a reading of 59193 at the end of November would be much more typical for a flat. I don't want to raise false hopes, but getting an agreed bill and correct meter readings has to be your priority. Good luck

To be honest Peter I can't be 100% I will see if anyone I know can read it and send a photo for them to read it. They haven't replied to previous emails sent. Maybe if it's complaining they might sit up and take note!
