For some reason, last week's update didn't post.
All is well with the dog.
Made £175 by selling 64 paperweights to one person who collects them.
No major financial outlays so far this month.
Task wise, made 1 fence panel ready to fit and 2nd special one under way. just need some more timber to complete it.
Got some free short lengths of old decking. These will make splendid planter when done.
Got my eye on a 7x6 metal shed for £50. just waiting for te seller to get back to me.
This will be very useful as it will enable me to bring nearly everything back from the flat nd store it in the dry to sort out at our leasure.
Then it will become a dry store or small workshop.Never Knowingly Understood.

Fence update. Collected 13 6x5ft 2nd hand panels from Witham for free.
Just got to trim them down to 3ft high and I will have enough panels to do the whole garden with a couple spare that the neighbour can have.
Next, I need to source some fence posts.
Projects to finish -
Small trailer - needs 2 sheets plywood.
Shed - not even started.
Planters - not yet started.
Fence - trim down panels and re-make bottom rails.Never Knowingly Understood.

Thanks PB.
Finished trailer. Now up for sale. Managed to obtain 3 new sheets of shuttering ply for £60.
Still not started the fence panels yet. Might just put them in 'as-is'.
Shed - might be able to salvage some timbers from dismantling a couple of sheds at my deceased f-in-l's.
Planters - Will wait until I have built my shed before starting these now..
New project (well, long term one from last year) - custom cube storage for my son to put his hifi and record collection in.
Managed to pick up a 4x4 cube unit for £40 (less than the cost of the materials to make it). I have begun the process of modifying it so the cabinet ends up with 2 rows of 4 along the bottom, then a row of 2x1's either side of the stereo.
Just got to knock up the shallower top unit and paint it all.
Money wise, agreed an out of Court settlement with my previous employers, so hopefully that will soon arrive.
Other than that, not much to update on this week.Never Knowingly Understood.

Update time again.
I should change the diary title to 'Ramling man's scavenger hunt'. Managed to secure enough sheet material to complete the cue storage project once I get round to finishing it.
Trailer remains unsold.

well done persisting with eBay - I find it such hard work these days, but haven't had a lot of success of FB either (unless I'm giving stuff) away
well done reaching agreement with your employer - I know you might feel they could have been more generous, but its a game of diminishing returns. there is a lot of benefit in not having to worry about itI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Long time since an update, so here goes.
Trailer remains unsold.
Started fence project. 1 panel cut down to size and ready to fit.
Cube storage unit part-done.
Shed project is yet to start. have considered the best way to proceed with this. Have decided to go the concrete floor and brick/block route as I have access to free bricks and blocks and hardcore for the sub-base via my deceased f-in-l's house.
Money wise, still not much upward movement on the savings front.Never Knowingly Understood.

Anyway, still no movement on cube storage unit, but have now done 5 more fence panels. Also managed to collect half the sand that is at my deceased F-in-L's, Just another 9 bags to fill.
My son took up the dodgy decking in front of the summer house and I used my Evolution power saw to rip soe of the boards down their length to create some 60x35mm battens. These I used to build a sheet materials storage area with top shelf for boxes.
Added some screws in the front to hang some of my tools and now I have a nice wide gangway through the garage again.Never Knowingly Understood.
