Yes Rob, send a private message to the thread posters here who have said they are in the whatsapp group, send to more than one of them, and hopefully one of the will see it.
You can just click on their usernames to send a pm (ONLY those who say they have a PCN like this, not me or other volunteer advisers) such as the poster above who dropped a HUGE hint about the way forward.
Explained here to another new person:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5848714/newcastle-airport-fine
I told that poster what to send now, in post #13. Her (and your) job is to read every post here and understand.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Your in the same boat as me, and just don’t understand some of the stuff in the threads , HELP0

I already told you to send private messages to the posters who have said on this thread, that they have claims like yours will be.
I even made it easy for you as a newbie, to know how to contact them:You can just click on their usernames to send a pm
We cannot start again on this thread from scratch when all you need to do (if you are at LBC stage and NOT court claim yet?) is to tell whicher solicitor is filing the claim, by email, that you will be contesting jurisdiction and will charge their client for the £100 cost.
This email is easy to word, because the wording IS ON THIS THREAD, a few months back. Start reading this thread from the start, and spend time on it.
You can show us your planned email but ONLY once you've read the entire thread and know what I mean, and have found the wording about contesting jurisdiction, posted right here on this very thread.
Formal emails call for formal wording so no ''hello'' or 'kind regards'', obviously.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks you for your contribution Bankhall. You really have added to the debate.
So posting "zzzzzzz…" on a thread that has not had a post for two weeks helps in what way?
The fact that your puerile post has moved the post back up the boards, means that the hard working regulars will open this post to see what "new information" has been posted.
So your inherent ennui of the complex nature of airport byelaws cases has led to 5 or 6 regulars wasting their valuable time for nothing. I think that is selfish.
Why not start your own thread about airport byelaws? You could post pointless rubbish to your hearts content, and we could all ignore it, as we would recognise the OP.0 -
Update on my situation (I'm in the whatsapp group that others have referred to).
I received a letter from the court around 2 weeks ago, saying that my DQ had not been received. I called the court the same day to say I hadn't received a request for a DQ. They told me on the phone to send it in now and it would be considered, whcih I did on the same day (18th June)
Yesterday, I've received a letter from the court saying that my DQ was not received in time and I have now two options:
1. Pay £100 for a court fee without hearing to have my defence reinstated
2. Pay £255 for a court fee with a hearing (this is more than ukppo claim!).
Spoke to the court this morning, they tell me the DQ was sent to me in February (not received by me though) and the reminder sent 31st May giving me 7 days to respond. I don't know I didn't receive that until 18th June but I didn't.
This seems like I'm stuck between a rock and hard place now! If i pay to reinstate, i may not be able to claim back that fee (nor the £255 fee) so I'd be out of pocket by roughly the same amount as the claim BUT it could be twice that if i lose!
Any advice from those more knowledgeable than me?0 -
Do what I did, complain to your MP. He not only got me an apology, but a refund of my expences and a small amount of compensation, (enough for a case of Blue Nun).
This after complaining to the Legal Ombudsman and the MoJ to no avail. The Court Service is no doubt overworked and underfunded and thus, imo, appalling inefficient. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

He's a charmer - read some of his other posts on this forum! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

But first, check what address the CCBC were using for you, maybe they made a mistake.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
