  • i have a bottle of "after" but no before or durings

werthers make the best toffee vodka and to counteract all the problems (bits in, froth etc) after around 10 days, put it in the freezer
shake it every day, and leave it in for around 4 days
its takes on a thicker consistancy (a tad thicker than baileys) but it wont seperate again or have bits in it

Wow! I forgot all about flavoured vodkas! Last November I made Werthers Vodka (It was a bit sickly as I remember) and Glacier Mint vodka - which was like really strong, blow your head off mouthwash! But Glacier Mint Vodka - highly reccomended.

I'm thinking of making some again this year - how long can you keep it, does anyone know?
  • hi, just found this, which i think is really good for a quicker version. Not tried it myself as I have only just found this thread, but someone suggested chocolate eclairs, which i cannot wait to try, http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-make-toffee-vodka
  • can anyone advise do you mix these vodkas with anything eg lemonade, soda etc? i am keen to try! also any recommendations for cheap bottle suppliers? looking for 250-500ml bottles
    thanks :)

  • I got some nice bottles from TKMaxx, they were only £1.99 each and nicely shaped. They were 250ml.
  • Going to make my sis and her hubby a vodka hamper, will have a loot at tkmaxx for bottles, anywhere else I could try??

I bought little bottles from Wares of Knutsford online - I bought 12 50ml bottles with lids for £5.95 + postage - came quite quickly and were the cheapest I could find!

http://www.waresofknutsford.co.uk/products_level4.htm?cat1=Preserving+Bottles&cat2=Cylindrical+Bottles&id=20489 6 x 250ml bottles for £4.95 + postage here - not sure how many you're after or what style!

  • Thanks for the advice, will look at both thanks! Thinking of doing skittles, foxs mint, toffee, chilli and maybe peardrops :)

I buy the 4 for £5 wine bottles from Asda, drink the contents (!) and soak off the labels to re-use
