NST March 2019: WINS against the debt

plan to make chickpea and spinach curry for tea.
Did battle with sewing machine #1, but its timing is out and after half an hour gave up with it, so moved on to sewing machine #2, which DH has removed the needle holder from - probably while button holing but I have no idea where he has put it- so I moved on to sewing machine #3 (don't ask!) which promptly began smoking from inside the bulb housing. So I have given up..
The problem is nobody ever puts anything away where it is supposed to be so that the next person can just sit down and use it. It drives me insane. It adds hours to every single simple task. Out of sight, out of mind. Shove it in a cupboard and forget about it.
But there are some things that bondaweb/ wonderweb/ stitchwitch cannot fix long-term. No matter how hard you try:rotfl:. whinge over.
So the kitchen is now clean, 2 meals prepped and ready to go, 4 loads of laundry folded and waiting for owners to claim, house clean and tidy, and I can't get on with what I want to be doing. So I accept what I cannot (immediately ) change, and I will read a book instead and have a cuppa and chill and relax a bit before the school run. NSD 13 though. :T I have to shop tomorrow as I have no more onions  but my free £5 voucher should be processed by Tuesday, so I will do a £5.50 shop and put the 50p item through separately so I get the rest free. I am only buying what I have run out of.
Saw Martin doing his singing last night. Well done Martin:money:Good job.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD 10/15
Didn't get to Lidl. Raining again!! But I did have to take my new glasses back to the optician as they need tightened up a bit but I also noticed that there was a sharp bit of metal just at the far side of the lens so they've had to go back to the lab to be fixed.
Since we were out anyway got three huge bakers to have with some left over chicken casserole from the freezer. Also got some YS items in Aldi. Used some of yesterday's chicken for sandwiches at lunchtime and having left over roast beef and roast potatoes for dinner.
This week's washing done and drying upstairs. Hopefully dry enough to iron what needs ironing tomorrow. Changed to bedding and removed/tidied a few more things from the Boy's room.
Sitting down now and about to watch an old Marple on TV.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Thank you all.
I thought this week was already going to be busy with work and my dad’s operation, then yesterday we got the call from O ! (Ofsted) so now half the school are in a blind panic. I’ve decided I haven’t got the energy and so I’m not doing anything different. Unfortunately they want to see me for a hour today (a joy of the ‘promotion’ position I never wanted). Oh well, it’ll be over in 48 hours! Wish me luck!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning all
NSD 9/15 for me yesterday. Managed to stretch the food shop one day further. Yesterday 20 min run and meditation before bed, froze leftover portion of veg chilli and checked that leftover veg still edible, which I will use up in a thai curry tonight.
cockroach watch = none yay! although the washing machine needs to be pulled out to check what might be lurking behind there.
I hope your meeting went well fmess

Fmess - good luck!!
Shrewbie - get it out and clean behind it, the only things living in your flat should be paying rent. No rent, no room.
Man next door gave me a sewing machine. He said it worked, but a bit is actually broken, so ordered a new one (£5) As today is a spend day (onions) I will count it today even though I will pay for it with survey cashout. So I am sticking on NSD 13 but I now have 2 functioning sewing machines. Hopefully today will be more productive.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I'm stuck on 8!!!
My 2 day hangover forced me into buying some comfort food which I naturally didn't have in the house. £8 later and I feel slightly better.
Today should be numero 9 though as I suspect I'll be in work for most of my waking day prior to my 2 day trip to London and Basel. Most things are covered on expenses for these trips but it does cause an awful mess on my bank statement/YNAB. I just need to be organised.
I'll be back on Friday morning0 -
Yesterday I rang to cancel my shower part and re-order it with someone else much cheaper. We hadn't had a confirmation email and the item hadn't been despactched so it was cancelled, then today they have despatched it. Rang again, we now have to return it for a refund, why can't anyone do a job properly?
Hopefully the second shower part should arrive today and DH will fit it. Cycled this morning, having a quick cuppa then lots of jobs to get on with. Lunch will be soup that I made yesterday, just a spicy veg and red lentil one, tea will be sausage, roasties, stuffing and veg.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
