NSD 8/15
Been plodding along today doing a few things that needed done. Nothing major and I'm sure nobody else will notice but it does make a difference to my mood when things looks clean and shiny. It's just that I hate housework but I must try to keep it up.
Lunch was soup that I made yesterday and dinner will be the YS item I bought plus I took out another dessert. Job for the weekend - check the list of items in there and make sure it's up to date. Having a list has been half the battle plus Himself has been very good at not making random purchases just because the're reduced (apart from chocolate biscuits, of course).
PPI cheque arrived this morning. Haven't heard anything from the other one yet. M & S have dine in for two this weekend. Wouldn't normally bother but we have £64 in gift tokens and don't need anything so into town tomorrow to buy rotisserie chicken. It's the Boy's favourite.
Starting a new book tonight. Have gone back to doing my family history. I've been doing it for years so I love when I find some other little bit to add.
OK. Off to see what's happening with Brexit.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Morning all,
So after posting on Wednesday morning and a day of contemplation at work, I took my little companion for a lovely sunny walk on Wednesday night and decided he had suffered enough, the vets were very kind and sympathetic and I moved the appointment to Wednesday night. It was really peaceful but so difficult. I miss him immensely, even with the house still being full of animals when I got home. So sad but the cancer was aggressive and I would rather he had a decent last day than wait until it became an emergency.
SFDs have been plenty. Think I’m up to 8 and have lost 3lbs at SW this week. Busy work day yesterday which kept me occupied and friends/family/colleagues have been very supportive. I walked in to gifts of flowers and chocolates at work yesterday!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hugs Fmess. Lots and lots of hugs.
Yesterday was NSD 10, for some reason I could not concentrate on anything for more than 3 seconds. So nothing got done. Properly nothing at all. Total wipeout of a day. Gave up and read a book and played taxi driver to kids. Made a lovely biryani. So tasty and so cheap! Watched Brexit falling apart again on telly. Humpty Dumpty comes to mind.
I am going to try for a spend day today. Going on a trawl of the charity shops again. After last week's appalling effort (a £3.50 spend after 3 hours of trying) maybe I will do better this week.
One kid off to NEC today, so school run will begin at 2.40 and end some time after 5.30. They are always late, who would think that leaving Brum after 4.00 on a Friday would mean getting stuck in traffic. Every single time.
Worried Mr hamster is slowing down, bit hard to tell as he is a lazy lump, and nocturnal, and anti-social.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I am so sorry, Fmess. It must have been a difficult decision but it was the right thing to do. Sending you lot of hugs. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Fmess - you did the right thing, it was a very similar situation with one of ours, he was nearly 13 and had a tumour in his throat just like your dog, he had lost so much weight very quickly and it was too far gone by the time we realised, we took him for a last walk in the woods on the Sunday then into the vets on Monday.
Yesterday was a NSD and an uneventful day, spent cleaning, putting groceries away (I don't count this spend), dog walking and running in gale force winds. Today is bed changing day, all stripped before the school run and one load has been washed, the next is ready to go in. I will have to use the drier as it is throwing it down again. Will re-make the beds, steam clean the floors, vacuum everywhere else, plum cushions, make some vegan chocolate muffins, do a batch of rumbledethumps for my tea instead of pizza, walk the dog, do the school run and return a library book.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
