    thanks ladies XX

I managed a dog walk and very brief tidy and then went to bed. Feel better but still weirdly shakey. And have a tummy ache. so feeling pretty sorry for myself.

eaten something so feel a bit better.

I booked a night in a hotel next weekend and then cancelled it! Instead I bought a cheap train ticket to the coast for the day.

    12.75 instead of 124!

Anyhow this post is taking ages to write!

    Things I have done

    1. Opened an account called Holidays and put 20 quid in it.
    2. Renamed my summer account House (cos that is what I used it for
    3. Renamed my insurance account insurance and emergency fund.

1 is to show my intention to bloody well go on holiday.
2 and 3 are more accurate names.

I am going to pay off the CC with my summer savings and have my clean slate for September.

Boo to feeling rubbish but glad you're on the mend. Sounds like you've got a plan in place for the budget and paying off the card. It's hard when you need to buy stuff to get things done and try and stay in budget.

  • All back to normal here, actually had a very successful day shopping yesterday. I now have 4 work skirts! And a bigger CC bill........

Today I have only really managed the basics. I am waiting to pick up some antibiotics but they might not have them so I did some panic banking, requested the credit on my CC, moved some money around to avoid going overdrawn. I need to hang on till pay day! 6 days....100 pounds.......

I am sitting on my bed and it is so uncomfortable. Ugh.
My room is still mid - Marie Kondo and is in fact hell to sit in.......

    ugh

  • I am in the midst of self pity here. Big time!

I just haven't done anything (apart from a date and seeing a few friends) for me this holiday. Everything has been for someone else.

And even what I have done has been at the convenience of someone else. and rushed. I understand that this is what happens when we get older, those who have helped us need help and that is the cycle.

But bloody hell. It is wearing me out. Not a holiday at all.

And Brexit is freaking me out. I am trying to get it together.

Any chance of you being able to get away somewhere for a break, just for a couple of days maybe, time to relax and not be at everyone else's beck and call?

When you are supporting someone you HAVE TO look after your own needs or you won't be any good for the person you are supporting and you will begin to harbour resentment. You need a few days just for you like sun Addict says
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

thanks all, today was hell really. I am trying to sort my room as I have a week left before work. No chance of me going away - can't leave the various creatures. And Mum isn't 100%, not driving etc.

I will be ok cos Mum goes away mid September and I will have some freedom and flexibility even tho I will be at work and have the dogs.

I understand the logic of what you all say and did used to make time. But can't now. I am going out for the day alone on Saturday but wish I wasn't now as it will be hard to explain and I will have to lie. And I am so tired of it all.

I shall hang on, it is a pity really as I longed for this holiday but all it has been is a depressing window into my future. Well my present really. Sorry, I know things could be worse and are worse for others, I will snap out of it eventually. I shall work on being more grateful.
