  • How is my enormous washing basket overflowing already??
I saw the bottom of it Monday evening.

Another lovely morning - due to rain tomorrow I believe. I had to scrape round for enough washing for a load but I can't miss a day like this for drying!

Updating laptop which takes forever (it's my spare/holiday computer). I don't know what else is happening today but I hope it involves going out in the sun.

    Might clean the bathroom first....

Morning everyone. Hope you're all ok, lovely sunny day here again and today I hope to enjoy it.

Feeling much more myself today if a little tender and so far I have washed up the breakfast dishes, dusted the dusty bits in the LR, made the bed, sorted out washing, done all today's list in the downstairs toilet and swept the hard floors downstairs.

Just having a lukewarm cuppa, then I intend to walk the dogs, finish the dailies and get out in the garden for a while.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all.

The first load of bedding is washing to go out in the line, the second load is queuing nicely waiting for its fate. I’ve been to small town to get a few bits, visit the market and do a Scr£wf!x pick up. I filled up with petrol while I was there to cross another job off.
DW is running and I’m going to whizz round a few jobs indoors in the hope that I can get outside for a bit before I have to go to big town. I have a W!lko list and a haircut appointment.

Right - off to scare the cobwebs down from DD’s room. Catch you later.

Another brew and breakfast first - then I'll crack on with the dailies.

    I cannot tell a lie :o I was side-tracked :o**

However, DS has stripped his bed and his bedding is merrily swishing in WM. 3 x exploded pillows are in the bin :T. 1 pillow has not exploded and is currently 'on reprieve'. I've fed the birds and put out the rubbish and recycling.

** I can hardly believe I've done this. Anyone who understands the psyche of a hoarder will know the import of this:

    2 x 18th birthday cards sent to me in 1978 - recycled :T

1 x scrapbook of 21st birthday cards (1981) dismantled and recycled / binned as appropriate. Invoice for 21st birthday party disco - £34.50 :) - to be shredded :T

    3 x scrapbooks filled with newspaper / magazine cuttings of Elvis 1975 - 1977 recycled :T

And breathe …. that's more space in my bedroom where the bedside cabinet is going to go eventually. :D

    Well done, Round :T:T:T

    I have
    - opened the curtains and windows
    - S&S'd kitchen
    - tidied the LR and our BR
    - stripped the downstairs bed where DH has been sleeping while he was ill (now that he has the energy to climb stairs again, he is moving back to our BR tonight)
    - washed bedding and hung out on line
    - watered the raspberries that I planted yesterday evening
    - started WMx2
    - sent an email to check where I'm meant to be this evening
    - produced a leaflet for the Toddlers
    - rescued the postman from Rosie (he knows she was just barking, she isn't vicious)
    - cleared the top of the CoD in the study bedroom, apart from 6 books which I want to read before Easter (only one a week, but even that will be an achievement)
    - made myself a packed lunch
    - made :coffee::coffee:

Just half an hour before I have to go out, to do some more writing.
  • Not got a great deal done as I have had a gas leak (or more accurately they have found 2 leaks) so gas turned off and men all over the garden and in the house. Have a job interview later so could have done without this.
  • Boiler man turned up the best part of an hour early, so he was left to get on with it whilst I got ready for work and Himself was woken up. Hopefully, that's all going to plan and I'll be able to wash my hair when I get home tonight, as I was about to do it when he knocked.

Really hoping there won't be too much mess.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Well done Round and Ionafan. Hope all goes well with boilers/gas leaks Jo Jo and Shirlgirl.

I walked the dogs for an hour and caught up with another dog walker, all dailies now done, some phone calls and paper work sorted. Just having lunch and will then cut the grass.

I have turned my mattress; put on new sheet; put clean duvet cover on duvet and new pillow cases on new pillows. As I just said to DS 'my bed looks like someone cares :D' :T

I'll do the same for his bed tomorrow - he's sleeping at GF's tonight.

I need to bring in the washing. take out the bins and write a list of what I want to achieve by the end of the week a la HB ;)

But first I need to recover from wrestling with the mattress (double) and duvet (king). Warm, innit? :rotfl:
