I've had another idea. I think I may have borrowed it from you
Having washed two odd Dennis the Menace socks found whilst dot to dotting I am now putting all laundered odd socks in to a bag with the hope that they'll all meet up and marry their lost mates one day. This has to be more likely to succeed than the current random piles of odd socks which never meet each other
Rxx
Yup, I have an 'odd sock pot' under our bed. Every few weeks (hmmm months, years maybe) I sort the odd socks out and any that are still odd leave the house.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

Why not just wear odd socks? if they are the same colour around the ankle area, what is the difference if the feet are in shoes? the post office delivery people around here always wear odd socks it is some thing to with a charity they raise money for.

I can do this! Rxx
Round you are making huge strides already!!;)
They say slow and steady wins the race, so keep dot to dotting and eventually it’ll all come together.
Please try not to over stretch, definitely get your DS to help with any heavy stuff, too often I’ve persevered, only wishing I hadn’t when the ouchies set in!:rotfl:
I’ve had another rotten cold, left with the sinus ache at the mo so have done the dailies and hoovered.. snoozed and drank lots of fluids.. I may just snooze again as my face hurts:( (will burn some tea trea & eucalyptus in a bit)
Sending hugs, sticks & spoons to all who may be in need!! :lovethoug"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0 -
I’ve washed 2 cars this afternoon. In Fayolle land that is a bit of an event. Now to cook a roast dinner with YS guinea fowl, which is my favourite but usually too expensive to justify buying.0

[Sigh]
The new Carbon Monoxide detector went off. And Himself said it had done it a couple of times yesterday as well.
So we now have no gas, as the nice man insisted upon capping the supply off because I had a headache last night.
Got to wait until Monday/Tuesday to call for the boiler men to come back and establish whether it's the boiler or a faulty CO alarm (which is what I suspect, as it sounds more like the backup battery is dead bleep than the You're About To Die bleeps - not bad for a brand new installation where the battery is supposed to have 7 years' life in it ). Been given a twin electric hotplate and a fan heater in the meantime.
Just as well the washing up was done before it went off, wasn't it?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Thank you for the good wishes and get well messages for DS2 we came home last night. He looks amazingly well and has seriously dodged a bullet with this. He has a few more outpatient tests and they've said he will most likely need medication for the rest of his life BUT he is back to being how he was, just a hint of a lazy smile and slightly lop sided grin and a little forgetful but in the grand scheme of things I'm grateful we have got through this.
Just hoping this is the end of the bad stuff, I keep wanting to wake up and find I've had a horrible vivid night mare and it's really a year ago and everything is fine.
I feel like I could sleep for a week now!
Will have tomorrow off and try again on Monday, have a good Sunday all. XxSPC~12 ot 124

Woo-hoo!
The CO alarm has just gone off again. This makes me happy.
Because it means it isn't the new boiler, it's the alarm itself that's faulty, which is irritating as hell, but at least it isn't going to kill us.
Just got to get through however long it takes for them to come back and sort it/uncap the meter.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
