Not too bad tonight.
Knackered from work and, by 6pm, realised I was in the process of starting a migraine, so hastily necked some parrots, decongestant, grabbed a cold pack and retreated to a darkened room whilst Himself got to sorting some food. Began to feel better quite quickly, I suppose because I hit it almost immediately with everything we had.
Just done a tiny bit of washing up, wiped down the counters and Himself made an appearance at the whiff of Rhubarb again. He seems in quite a good mood because HE'S GOT A JOB INTERVIEW MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously, no guarantees, and it's a six month contract initially, but it's a start.
Of course, I'm already mentally listing everything we need/I want to get if it happens. But IF he were to get it, the salary they are offering immediately takes the pressure off me with redundancy, as it's 20% higher than I currently get. Which means I could have breathing space for the first time in years. And it's a proper job/recent employment to go onto his CV for the next job, depending upon whether they would then choose to renew the contract/go permanent or not.
I might not go to sleep straight away, but it's completely changed my feelings about the day/week/month because it means he is actually doing something to improve things at last. So when I do go to sleep, I think that I'm going to sleep well for a change.
And come down to a clean kitchen... :whistle:I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Round, you're doing really well.YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »And R I am loving to hear about your progress, every post makes me smile. Well done x
Thank you ladies xx Had a bit of a glitch since Thursday lunch - down time in every sense of the wordThere is so much to do and I let it overwhelm me so yesterday turned in to another read-a-book day
And breathe.....
While the kettle was boiling this morning I went under the kitchen table (as you do). Retrieved an overall/ boiler suit worn by DS on work experience 10 years ago. It's like new, just dusty
It will be washed and taken to cs. I also found a complete set of measuring spoons :T - they will be washed and put to use.
I think random pootling like that is the answer as planning just made me  The random dots will eventually join up and everything that leaves the house is a win. (Pep talk to Roundtuit time)
Right - WM to switch on, breakfast to eat, then get dressed and go pick up my prescription.
I can do this!

Morning all.
Round - you not only can do this, you are doing it, hun x. Dot to dot is the way to go. I so need to listen to what I’m saying *looks around at all the prime dot to dot targets*.
Slow to start this morning. WM has run with uniform and HHI done. I have to be DD’s taxi I an hour so I’m wandering aimlessly in anticipation. I think I might go out to the greenhouse as that is a great timewaster. Ah no - plan thwarted - I am apparently helping to remove a radiator.
Have a lovely day all.0 -
Morning all
Grumpy because I have missed my cycling group this morning, stomach just too sore to do it. Going back to docs on Monday if no improvement, however I had blood tests on Tuesday so sure I would have had a phone call if they had found something serious so that's something.
Finances checked, budget for March sorted. DHs bills to do. Not sure else, DS2 needs a lift to footie and we are invited round to friends for birthday drinks this afternoon but both in completely opposite directions.
Ah, sun coming out.
Thinking of Mrs MP, hope things are improving x0 -
Morning all.

Thank you Fayolle xx Your positivity vibes were received - I knew someone had sent me some as I not only picked up my prescription, but also dropped a box of gubbins off at cs and popped in to Mr T's for a few necessaries. Then called at PO and paid rent. All whilst feeling just the right side of a panic attack
I did it one step at a time and after picking up my prescription I gave myself permission to bail out at any time. (It was whilst putting my shopping in the car boot that I sent a 'thank you' to whichever flylady/ladies had sent the vibes. I knew I wasn't on my own.)
Sending GWS vibes to YL xx How is your tummy sore? Just asking as last year I had a sore tum for months. GP was next to useless and I eventually worked out that I had acquired a sensitivity to wheat or gluten and that had triggered off an insensitivity to dairy. I removed both from my diet initially, then reintroduced dairy. I'm still working out what I can and can't stomach (literally). Probably totally irrelevant to you, but I thought it worth throwing in to the ether for consideration. Gentle hugs xx
Now that my heart rate has come down and I've stopped glowing (I am a flylady after all) and the sun has come out :T I'll hang out my washing, and reload WM with those ovies.
Then clean the basin in the bathroom as it's minging.
Hugs to all

Round there's something very satisfying about dropping off a box of stuff at the chazzer, isn't there? And every item removed from the house is one less thing to gather dust/be tripped over/take up space that could be better utilised. Dot-to-dot sounds like an excellent plan.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Thank you LameWolf xx Yes, I did feel a buzz of satisfaction as I walked away from the csI have another box, empty, which contained a delivery for DS yesterday. Contents have been tetrised in to the freezer
thanks to two out of date packets of spicy wedges (2017 ) and quorn sausages (07/18) being slung and two boxes of quorn burgers, which were in date but I didn't like them so I won't be accepting them as a substitute again, falling in to the bin too. I'm thinking that I'll put the empty box in Pip's boot and fill it with cs gubbins as I go along. Then drop it off at cs when full. The overalls are drying on the line so they will be the first item in there. That way stuff will leave the house as soon as it has been pronounced cs worthy. I like that idea.
Basin is no longer minging. :T And while the 'stuff' was working it's magic I took off the sheet and mattress cover that were on the single bed mattress stood on the landingThey are now in the wash pile and will be joining the overalls when laundered. Mattress is outside to await a bulky item collection. Suitcase that was on landing is now in a cleared corner of RoD1. And I did attempt to bring the cupboard down but it [STRIKE]weighed a ton[/STRIKE] was a bit heavy so I've left it for DS and his dad to carry down. While they're doing that they can carry the single bed round from the back yard and put it with the mattress for bulky collectors to pick up too. And while he's taking the cupboard to the skip, DS's dad can take the head board that's been stood outside too. Well, he did say he wanted to help
That will just leave dust bunnies and spare toilet rolls on the landingWhere do you keep spare toilet rolls? My bathroom is very small and apart from the pack in use there is nowhere to put them. I guess they could be stored in Bedroom 3 / study when it stops being a RoD1. That day will come!

Good luck to your hubbie with the interview Jojo; I had one this week would have loved the job but it turns out the hours wouldn't fit with being able to collect DD2 from school, so the job hunt continues.
Spent about 1 1/2 hours poo picking a field this morning. Got back and have given the ensuite a good scrub and the main bathroom a S&S.
Master bedroom tidied and robot vacuum cleaning the floor now, also set to clean the landing too. Need to get the vacuum cleaner out to do the stairs or maybe I should ask DD2 to do it?
Bins in all bedrooms and bathrooms emptied.
Have asked DD2 to clear her floor so robot can wander in there too.
1 WM & 1 DW done
OH is mowing the grass (no mean feat as it's 1/2 an acre and he's not using the ride on).
Think I'll pop into the kitchen and do 15 minutes; it's not too bad as was done well Tuesday but it's a large room so always lots to do.0 -
I've had another idea. I think I may have borrowed it from you
Having washed two odd Dennis the Menace socks found whilst dot to dotting I am now putting all laundered odd socks in to a bag with the hope that they'll all meet up and marry their lost mates one day. This has to be more likely to succeed than the current random piles of odd socks which never meet each other
