Sorry pigpen, the curtains are out of stock in our four nearest stores
I have survived Toddler Group and the ongoing training course today. Flying has consisted of washing the cloth I put down under the paper on which the kiddiewinks were making footprints with blue and red paint :eek:0 -
Wiped all the installation dust off the countertop.
Cleaned the hob.
Countertops.
Sink.
Washing up bowl.
Washed up.
Wiped down fridge, freezer and washing machine.
Himself came down at the scent of Rhubarb and wiped about 3/5ths of one surface [strike]which I did properly when he took my cup of tea into the living room[/strike].
I've left him the cutlery to wash up.
It sounds as though he's doing it. I filled up the sink with very hot water because he normally uses the cold, dirty stuff that's already failed to get the previous WU clean.
Except for the battery dead/needs charging alarm from the new CO detector going off until he could get up there to switch the damn thing off/find out the make and model so I could go online and establish it was the back up battery warning, not the new boiler attempting to kill us whilst we sleep, I'm rather taken by this hot water appearing whenever a tap is turned on - compared to the will it or won't it work I've had with the other boiler - and the pressure seems a lot better.
I also worked out how to turn the heating off AND to knock the thermostat down to 18 instead of 22.5. The other settings are still a mystery until I have to read about the 3 separate programmes, the override, the just one hour, the turning it off automatically a bit before the end of the timed period if it's already warm and the other 'eco' variants alluded to on the first page of the weighty tome that is the instruction booklet.
I'm glad it's not remotely controlled, though. I'd be one of Those People who turn the heating down when they aren't even in the house because they think it's on too high.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Morning all.
I hope your DS is making good progress Mrs MP. x
DH is off today to vent his frustration towards the remaining plaster in the larger RoD. I’m glad to be going to work for once. And so glad that I cleaned the landing a couple of days ago. Last night I emptied my wardrobe into black sacks with some bits onto a “temporary” hanging rail. Temporary in this house could go on for years, so let’s see how successful my capsule wardrobe (sounds so much better don’t you think) is. You never know, the wardrobe proper might never see the light of day again!
Have a lovely day all.0 -

Pigpen the curtains are available in both Workington & Carlisle Stores but unfortunately I can't get to them and not sure where abouts you are. EDIT: In stock at Hartlepool, Peterborough, Kettering, Cheltenham, Sheffield Kilner Way & Chesterfield. Have you tried asking in your local store to see if they can get some sent from another store?
Mrs-MP, I hope your son is doing better, see you in the CS thread.
You all inspire me to keep cleaning, thank you.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

Oh my, the Universe has certainly been terribly unkind to Mrs MP while I've been absent.
Hoping things start going a heck of a lot better now. x
