  • Hi Guys!

Not a very productive day here as DD & I still not too good:rolleyes:

OH has built the wardrobe for DD and is doing the bedside cabinet ATM, then later will do the chest of drawers. They look lovely, but upstairs still looks like a bomb has gone off:eek:

I made a lamb and veg pie a few weeks ago, so got that out for tonight and OH & I are having Liver & Bacon (yellow stickered to 10p), Green Beans & New Pots for lunch:D

Shopping came and has been put away. DW has been on but needs emptying and WM has been on and put in TD:o

Have some parcels to post off which OH will be doing later on and apart from that...its a lazy day, although doing upstairs is going to take a while later, but not going up there so cant see it...LOL.

    Hugs to all.

  • Went to pick up my lad from nursery and there weren't any parking spaces so I drove round again to park further away and ended up driving almost home again before I realised I'd forgotten to pick him up. :o If this baby of ours doesn't let me get some proper sleep soon I may actually forget where we live too!

Boiler broken. It is freezing in here and having to boil the kettle lots. Going round to a friend's house for chat, play and somewhere warm to sit!

Hugs to the poorly people. (Smiled at the phrase 'better acquainted with my bathroom than I would wish for' LOL I should have used that one when I was preganant!)

Hi everyone, had a little bit of a declutter this morning took the cage we used to use for the dog out of the shower room she does'nt need it any more i'll have to ask around and see if anyone needs one. So besides the dog basket (thats where she sleeps at night ) we'v got lots of room in there again , wonder how long it will take oh to notice. its left a few rust marks on the floor
don't know if theres anything that will help get them off?
have just finished cleaning the keypad on pc i usually just give it a quick wipe over but the keys were sticking think one of the kids might have dropped something on it so i took each key out and gave them a good clean took me a while lol i just praying i it would still work afterwards but its ok so i'm safe.
Will be catching up on the ironing when i get back from school i tend to just iron ohs and kids school/work stuff and ignore the rest but i'v got it all in the kitchen ready.
I'v just got time for a quick coffee before i have to nip out.

    back again....

I've made up my hanging baskets! and resisted buying them from costco!
Also got rid of the weeds/nettles in our communal flower bed out the front! got a sting on my arm and its tingling!!

At asda I managed to get some lean mince (yellow stick) and also a turkey crown reduced to £5 half price!! very pleased with that, so in the freezer for xmas!!:j :j Also managed to get my Chilli Flakes in Lidls!:D

DH has shampooed the carpet - so hopefully no nasty niffs now!

I have a little robin that comes into my garden everyday - so was thinking of putting some food out - should I get a hanging set of nuts/fat balls? or just throw some loose wild bird seed down:confused: (both sold in Lidls) -although I think the latter might encourage the pigeons!! which I dont want!!
  • We have a robin that comes to us but I've noticed that he seems to prefer to eat off of the bird table or flat surfaces rather than the hangers. (although I have spotted him trying to cling on). I just put enough out to last him the day as I'm always concerned about rats.

shez i have never seen our robin at the nuts, if i wedge a fat ball in the crook of the tree he will eat at that but just by standing on the tree not clinging on, watch with putting seeds on garden ground as those not eaten can sprout like weeds, though probably not in winter

for the robin i put out any crumbs, grated cheese etc the blackbirds like pinching the cats tinned meat chunks and they like apples too, its usually blue tits, siskins and sparrows that eat the nuts hanging up here
  • Hi everyone :hello:

It's ages since I posted on the daily thread :) Will try to get here a bit more often. I miss all the chat and it is really inspiring - I don't get half as much done as I did when I was sitting in my PJs thinking 'Uh-oh, they have all managed to empty their dishwashers, put the bread machine on, cook dinner and clean the bathroom and I'm still drinking my cuppa'. DS1 and I have just been up in my bedroom, I'm cleaning and making the bed and he is pulling things out of cupboards and making a 'rocket ship' out of the pillows. I think he can untidy as fast as I tidy!

((hugs)) to anyone who's poorly, we are just getting over a vomiting bug here and it's been horrible :(

  • Hi all

Had a productive day here. Managed to get last of DS presents in Argos, all reduced. Lettuces and rocket are now potted on and in front of the french doors in the dining room, will be ready to eat by Christmas.

Had to fill up with diesal:eek:

House now clean. Xmas pud steamed and cooling down. Am thinking of buying goats from Oxfam this year instead of giving money to my nephews and neices. They are all teenagers and don't even bother to say thankyou. I think it's so rude:mad:. will look online and decide.

AUSSIE agnus castus and starflower oil comes in tablets.

Looking forward to my chicken and vegetable curry.

Have a good evening and hugs to all xxxx:A
