Morning all.
Haven't been around much lately I know. I do read when I can and sympathise with the bad times and celebrate with the good. Just not got a lot to say for myself.
Found this on the net the other day though and thought that we could do with some schmaltz on a dark wednesday morning.:D
Friends Without Faces
We sit and we type and we stare at our screens,
We can't help but wonder what all of this means.
With mouse in hand ...we roam through this maze,
On an infinite search...lost in a daze.
We chat with each other, we type all our woes
At times we'll band together to gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody, to type out our name
We want recognition, but it is always the same.
Soon friendships are formed - but - why we don't know,
But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.
We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes we'll flirt,
In IMs we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.
Why is it on screen, we are so easily bold,
Telling our secrets, that have never been told.
The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell,
We all have our problems, and need someone to tell.
We can't tell real people, but tell someone we must
So we turn to our 'puters ...and to those we can trust.
Even though it sounds crazy...the truth still remains,
Most of my "friends" have no faces...and odd little names.

Love the "odd little names" comment at then end.
Have a good day all

Good morning
It is so cold here. Came into work, to find...no heating on! They seem to think it's acceptable to have the timer for 7.30am, when the earliest person in - ie me - starts at 5.30am!!!! So I put it on constant! They've also not fixed the outside security light, so I have to make my way in, in the darkness in a not so friendly town. Yes I feel safe - not!!
Hoping I might get a few stamps from the mail today for charity. Everyone seems to use franking machines these days.
I couldn't get up this morning. I was just so tired owing to having to stay up to watch I'm a Celeb for work. But there we go, such is life.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

PINK glad your DS is home, what a relief.
Did try and post again yesterday but I lost the thread (as opposed to the plot which I usually do).
AUSSIE Agnus castus is also known as squaw vine. It balances the hormones. I find it works well with starflower oil.
Hope you are all feeling a bit better. There's some really nasty bugs around.

:hello: Morning!
I still can't find the recipesbut hopefully they will be back soon, otherwise I guess we will all have to sort through the ones we have printed out and pop them back to the site. Has anyone got the panasonic banana bread/cake recipe please?
We are ready and waiting for the puppy trainer for a one to one with Penny. he is bringing his own dog for socialization lessons, Penny is so friendly but perhaps just a tad too much and will get herself in trouble one of these days! Lessons are expensive but so worth it although we did start well with the second hand puppy training books from the library sales.
Breakfast - hm muesli and yogurt
Lunch - hm left overs soup and hm bread
Dinner - Butternut squash rissotto with smoked bacon
Veg and fruit box day today so need to sort out what is still left from last weeks.

PEEM - I loved that poem; my sentiments exactly and lovely to see it written down.
SCUZZ - surely elf 'n' safety should ensure you feel safe and warm at work. Great, isn't it - the rules will stop you playing conkers but expect you to arrive at work in the dark. You must have a word with the management or HR and, if they won't do anything about it, then I would phone the Health and Safety Executive (a local number should be in your phone directory). This is one of the (many) reasons I left my last job - being scared to open the premises up in the dark and close them in the dark in a rough area. You should not be expected to put up with that. Please, for your own safety, have a word with those in charge.
I said I wasn't going to come back on here until I had done the rest of the chores so, why am I here? Oh, yes, because I just felt like it! I have done some things - put the second WM load on, put the BM on with dough for rolls made a crumble with four plums and a slightly manky pear and washed the veg for the stew so, that's not so bad.
CERIDWEN - welcome to you - I'm sure you'll like us!
Well, back to the grindstone - see you all later.

Good morning!
hope we all start feeling better soon - maybe when the colder weather kicks in it will kill off the germs. There are some very nasty bugs around.
Very sore today, but shall warm up once I get going.
I intend to sort out my fabric box today, to E-bay what I know I won't now use, I have so much it is serious!
Peem great poem!
Had a huge Tesco order last night (all the heavy stuff for 6 weeks). They would have given me 13 green points for 131 items - but they used 49 bags. How unbalanced is that? I have tried having the order delivered without bags, but it take ages, especially as my grip is so poor - and for 13 points, where is the incentive?
Most of the bags were tied so tight I had to cut them open, but each had only 3-4 items in. The worst was 1 tin of sweetcorn all by itself in a bag! Efficient? Environmentally friendly?
Now that is off my chest, I am going to read the thread - have a great OS day!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning everyone:D
Taken out some smoked haddock from the freezer for tea -so i can empty it and defrost - nearly there think i can see the bottom now!
DH will be shampooing the whole carpet today after DD being sick on it yesterday (we only shampooed that bit last nite) anyway she seems to be better this morning!
I'm thinking of popping to costco to buy a couple of hanging baskets, I got a few plants reduced in B&Q to do a couple of baskets, but to be honest, by the time you buy different plants you might as well buy one ready made - not very OS I know:o
I started writing out some xmas cards yesterday evening - that really is early for me!
