Next door neighbour still being noisy despite telling her...

I felt it was implied by yourself, so for my own clarity, I had to put across my stance on that, just in case. I know how things can get blown out of proportion so I am taking no risks here.
I do appreciate the help, of course, but only when it is helpful and not with assumptions made without proper reading.
I am now very well akcnowledged in what the answer is and I would appreciate, again, in avoiding making assumptions or, at least, subtle implication towards it.
No assumptions made OP; just a different perspective suggested and then a sound clarification to those(not you) who saw that as some kind of problem.
You have the solutions, suggested much earlier in the thread, my point was that taking action was better than listening to both poles of the spectrum in an ongoing thread.
But like you, I do like to challenge any sugestion of wrongdoing on the forum, mainly so I can better help people in the future.
I hope you can relax in your new home once you are better able, (or get used to) your neighbours loud voice. Good luck.0 -
I have no reason to disbelieve you, and wouldnt even suggest it.
But I certainly would never fiercly defend someone’s position, perporting to know all the fact, or at least discrediting other because they didn’t.0 -

IF you are having the sound proofing done to block out your noise to a near neighbour ie your drums I see that as a proactive thing,
Quick aside, apologies OP.
No amount of soundproofing will rectify a full drum kit in a residential area. For that, you need to rent/own a music studio in a non residential area.
An electronic drum kit and headphones/small speakers is all you need nowadays.
My home studio only has 5inch speakers, I use a pair in the studio and also for listening to music, films. It's not necessary to use a wall shaking sub woofer, which no amount of sound proofing will remedy.
Then its just a case of considering where you live; if your in a semi/terrace you have to keep your music super low, and switch to headphones at 10pm. Neighbors happy, happy neighborhood.0 -

Apologies, but I just had to ensure that this different perspective, then, was not my intention at all. I would absolutely hate to think that someone had felt bullied, as I ensured I took all the steps I could take in avoiding this, so I do hope that is understood.
Thank you so much for your kind regards, I'm glad we can finally end this on a good note as was always my intention. Best wishes.0 -

All understood, I cannot speak on his behalf, but I can 'fiercly' understand his frustration. Vice versa, it seems like some are fiercly defending the opposing position to mine.0 -

She sounds very reasonable and rational so why not believe her? Why are some people intent on dismissing her complaint?0 -

Well its very difficult to see what your position is or was, since you have deleted it since my arrival.
I can only assume it was full of same disdain & attitude you have shown across all of your responses to others.
….and yes, I made a typo...well done you...0 -

errrm no, whatever op said was not 'facts' they were her opinions. Facts are tangibly provable....
she also doesn't sound very reasonable or rational. so there you go....
these are my opinions......or do I mean facts? (do ya see the difference now?)0 -
There is actually a condition called misophonia which makes some people very sensitive to noise which others barely notice. Not just crashing and banging - which can annoy many - but also minor things like people whistling or sniffling or other soft sounds which most people wouldn't even notice. Its common in people with Aspergers and Autism but its not exclusive to them.
I agree my son has this.0 -

As previously mentioned, I deleted the initial post, as I think this can now be nipped in the bud and there is no way to close the thread, which I think would benefit everyone rather than getting into petty arguments, but it must be contagious!
My disdain and attitude? I was just after advice, not a debate.
I didn't even recognise any typo? This is what is becoming of our society, constantly assuming the worst, defending ourselves and getting one up on eachother. No typo recognised here, I can assure you of that.0
