I also find that the novelty doesnt wear off I get just as excited and I am now on my third campaign. I look forward to seeing how many orders you get and how much they are worth, but I try not to look until I am back home. It does get disheartening tho when you pull out blank order form after blank order form!!!

I also have a customer who orders every time but I never get a book back, but what she orders also covers the cost of the book tenfold.

We have started using the "we called" cards alot recently and they seem to work for us, if we try and deliver a order and they are not in rather than try again we just leave a card with our tel number on and they ring and tell us when they will be in, same for books from regulars if they have a order they will ring up and either collect or take it over the phone.

Hi all. I'm looking for something to supplement my income as I've really been struggling lately. I thought about becoming an Avon representative and I came across this thread. I just wondered, how much am I likely to earn with Avon? I've heard that you can earn a fair amount, but I've also heard that you can end up spending more than you earn!
    Thanks :-)

    Well Becca

I have been doing AVON since c15 Sept, last year ( 12 camps).
You earn approx 25% of your sales and I have earned approx £500.
This has gone into the holiday fund account.
It really depends what area you live in/ which territory your SL or ASM gives to you.

I live in a suburb of Leicester with mixed income families/ eldery etc.

If you have lots af time ( and space to store all the brochures etc) you can do quite well.

It is what you put into it, I am not very good at knocking on doors selling to people i don't know.

Quite a few of my customers are friends and family.

Hi Becca, I think you have to be strict with yourself with Avon because it is tempting to spend your commission on products. However, because Avon's prices are so good anyway, I just am going to buy my shower gel, make-up, sun-cream etc from them because by the time you've factored in your rep's discount, buying the same thing from the supermarket or high street would be more expensive.
    Whereabouts are you?
I'm surprised what I can make as a rep. I thought it would be £20 a month or something, but so far its more like £50+ for really not that much work. I've just started Sales Leadership with Avon as that looks like a great opportunity and I used to be a manager before I went self-employed and do really enjoy working with different people. Signing up my 2nd rep tomorrow (fingers crossed).

re: books back - only got about half my books back this evening from a new bit of territory I canvassed for the first time. Did get two orders however, so out of 20 houses not to bad though the orders were quite small. I'm up to £178 on campaign 9 now - hoping to end on over £200 when I collect my remaining books on Thursday.

Thanks for replying. I'm in the West Yorkshire area, Halifax to be specific.
£50 a month is less than I expected to be honest. Does this reflect the amount of work involved?

Did anybody get a load of Anew freebies this month, it mentioned something about an Easter promotion or something, the wife has thrown the old hello tomorrow books out so not sure what its all about, there is about £45 worth of products all told.
