Well I didn't know that. I suppose you could be cheeky and take them out before you deliver them anyway and stock up that way!!!!

On average how many brochures do you put through letterboxes each campaign and how many do you get back?

Depends with us, regulars we send out 70 books and get about 65 back, if we try a new area it could be around 60-70% back

    Hi all,

I am also thinking of doing a tiered special offer: i.e., order over £15 get a small free gift, order over £25 get a medium free gift, order over £50 and get a large free gift. What do you think? As it's my first campaign I was hoping that when I place my customer's orders I could order their free gifts at the same time from the sale in Hello Tomorrow. Does anyone know if they would all arrive together or if the Hello Tomorrow items arrive later than your customers orders?

Clarification would be much appreciated. If anyone knows!

Hope to have helped someone with my ideas today :D

    Hi,

I order things from the sales section. Most often it all arrives but if they run out of stock, sadly it won't arrive because it will have been discontinued. All Hello Tomorrow items arrive with everything else :)

    Thanks Mikiki!

I thought there was a danger of them going out of stock so I thought I would add a disclaimer saying where that was the case I would give them a voucher until I build a stockpile of free gifts. I know I won't be making much (if anything!) at first but this will give me a chance to build my customer base and my reputation as a reliable seller I think.

If you order online does it not tell you if they're out of stock straight away? Do you just have to wait and see what comes? I don't have my password, etc., yet so I'm not familiar with the site yet.

You don't find out until it gets delivered to you which can be a bit of a pain, but you don't get charged for them until they arrive which is good :)

I'm well excited about my first campaign lol

I guess the novelty will wear off though. I'm almost dreading collecting my brochures in case I don't have any (or many) orders...all my family and friends are miles away so I can't rely on them unfortunately! So I guess I need a lot of luck

I usually get 50% of my books back overall. ie last campaign I started with 40 books and at the end of it I have 20 books left.

I have heard loads of horror stories about missing stock, and them sending replacements that your customers don't really want. I am awaiting my second order, and thankfully everything was correct in my first order. The only thing I think that they did was send 2 lots of small paper bags instead of one small and one mini. But if that is all then I am not bothered. Have tried again this time round for the mini paper bags, but if I get sent some more small ones then I won't bother again.

I also find that the novelty doesnt wear off I get just as excited and I am now on my third campaign. I look forward to seeing how many orders you get and how much they are worth, but I try not to look until I am back home. It does get disheartening tho when you pull out blank order form after blank order form!!!

i get the majority of my books back, but then i've had my base for 2 years. my husband has just signed up and out of 100 books put out hes only had around half back and only 8 orders. hope fully for him it will pick up next time.

as for getting my books back, even some of my regulars dont always put their books out. i have one who only ever puts the book out when she has an order, but when she does its always a really good order. its worth persevering with these types of customers i think, and worth losing a book most times. ( i always give them the previous book anyway so i cant use it again ) this customer this time gave me an order for £38, and last month another gave me an order for £56. I was chuffed to bits!!
