I have just joined up as an SL and I think the pack is things that you will need to become one: sign-up packs, leaflets, notelet thingys, slips that you put on the front of expired catalogues to make them into a canvassing tool... basically the stuff that SLs can order in Hello Tomorrow. I don't officially get mine until our C15 starts (on 18th September!!!! Rage in Eden, you must be on mail plan O the same as me!) so I'm not totally sure that all the stuff my ASM gave me was the actual SL pack.
There is no official Avon group for reps. There are a few unofficial forums, most of which are not exactly lively. Some people have said the Ebay one is pretty good, altough I'm not a member so couldn't tell you about that one.
I don't think that Ebay is the ideal place to sell... prices are so deflated you'd be lucky to make any money at all! The only person I know who does it is a girl whose so desperate to make PC she doesn't care if she earns or not0 -
i have sold a few bits on ebay but onl;y bits that i got free or very cheap and i know will sell for more - i dont think the stuff out of cat would get a profit on ebay0

So I picked up my brochures today from my very first drop, so far no orders! But I was only able to drop 15 brochures so I don't really expect to get an order out of so few houses. Out of the 15 I lost about 3, although I will try again to get them back when I pick up the ones I dropped today. It is very difficult only having 20 brochures, I can't wait till I can buy 50 and then I will only have to do two drops to cover my territory, I will have to drop these 15 brochures about 7 times to cover my territory, nevermind. I have enough time to do it, but only if I leave it there for 3 days, although I think that is enough, it's certainly not as difficult as some of you have had it from reading this thread so not complaining, just looking forward to having more brochures.

hi, my asm just gave me a link for a website were you can buy leads, does anyone actually do this? im not sure if i should buy the leads so i can stop being a trainee and start getting paid or just carry on prospecting. Any advice would be greatly apreciated
Hi!
The website must be flissys.com I joined it and have bought leads off there the leads are £6 each and there are usually loads and loads on there! Its a good way to get new reps as the leads on there are people who have applied to be a rep through someones avon website but the person who sells them is selling the lead because they live too far away usually.
Not sure how many ones there are usually in your area, but you can get a free 2 week trial on there , the charge is then £10 a year but its worth it, as its not only leads on there but also document library of stuf to print off to help u with avon such as leaflets others ahve made etc, plus a forum where you can get advice from other sales leaders, some of which are top earners which I wish I was lol!
So basically worth a try even if you only do it for the free trial :-)

Signed up to become a Avon rep last week, I live on a new build estate and no one else reps near me so my ASM has pretty much given me free rein, she has just said to let her know the street names I have canvassed so she can keep her records up to date. My books are out at the mo going to collect them tomorrow afternoon before going on holiday on Monday. I'm on C15 and have to submit my order on 24/9 so got plenty of time, have got one order in so far for around £35 so hoping to get a few more in.
Has taken me ages to read through this thread but really glad I persevered as it has loads of really great advice so thanks to all who have submitted their ideas!! If I come up with anything I will let you all know.0 -

Hi All,
New to this thread, but not to Avon ( have been a rep for 10 years now!).This is neither a hint or a tip, but having tried asking on the Avon website in the 'wanted' section with no success I thought I'd try here: please does anyone have an unused Aquamarine Bra, size 38b, that I could purchase? I would be so grateful if you could help,
Many Thanks, Neffy xxRIP Marmaduke 04.02.11, MIsty 09.06.12 and Rufus 19.7.24 very, very sadly missed xxx

Hey all,
Have been given my roads but when i knocked turns out someone is already delivering there? rang Avon and that person shouldnt be so what do i do? x:j MOVING TO AUS 12th JULY 2009 WOOHOO :j0 -
Do you know who the person is Han? Speak to your ASM, they should either get the other person out of the way, or give you new territory. It isn't necessarily a huge problem - these things are usually easily sorted. There are four reasons that I know of when you'll find someone else on your patch, and none of them are as bad as someone intentionally 'stealing' territory:
1) Lots of people I have spoken to 'caretake' unfilled territory on the reasonable assumption that someone may as well make some money from those people, but they know that they will have to bow out gracefully once that territory is assigned.
2) I also know there are a good number of people on my own territory who order from a friend a few streets away - who am I to tell them they should order from me?!
3) Some sales leaders don't do their jobs properly, they don't bother to get territory properly assigned. The rep then suffers when there is a conflict. If this is the case the ASM should make sure that both of you have your own properly assigned territories.
4) It's rare, but sometimes people who change territory 'cherry pick' by keeping their best customers but giving up the actual territory. That might seem unfair, but if that rep has a personal relationship now with the customer it's understandable. Best thing to do when this happens is explain the problem to the ASM and ask for some extra roads, just as if you had any other duff streets.0 -

They fit ok in my normal "cheap" plastic bags from the pound shop.
Apparantly it is just for one campaign, so don't go spending extra money on larger bags unless you have to.
I am so annoyed that they are only doing it for one campaign. the books should look like that all the time!Nevertheless she persisted.0
