Hi Mikki
I give you the same advice I gave Louiseaustin69.
I'd reccomend that you place the order £200, get it out to your customers ASAP & collect the money. Pay your balance, then call Avon to place an order for the rest of your customers orders.

j73 yes but avon is my primary job not a second income and i explained this to the lady when she came to my house, in order for me to make any money from avon it had to be good money. i now work 5 days a week putting books out, canvasing new customers and encoraging new reps avon is the best thing that ever happened to me.
oh my it looks like a bleedin advert now lol:rolleyes:september:£22 jackpotjoy,screensaver,£50 thomas cook voucher0 -
LOL Rachel.
I've been a S/L for 8 years now, this is where my income comes from, I have 2 lovely ladies that collect orders for me so I reach my minimum order as a S/L.

8 yrs wow thats cool, im still working on the SL idea the women i have spoken to don't want to walk the streets putting books thru doors they have this idea where they can just ask there mates and hundreds of pounds worth of orders come in for doing little or no work, we all know this dosent happen. i am working on it tho and by this time next month i can assure you i will have some ladies collecting orders and wanting to get themselves a team together aswel.
as for puting books thru the door yes this can get anoying but i have met some great people and not just people who order either people who are interesting and with my lifestyle this works for me because it can get a bit monotomous just being mummy all the time, when i am out there i am rachel my own person and as soon as the women i have been speaking to realise this they will want to join too:rolleyes:september:£22 jackpotjoy,screensaver,£50 thomas cook voucher0 -
Rachel you have a fantastic and positive attitude!
S/L is not a get rich quick scheme, it too has given me the opportunity to meet some fantastic people.
Like I said in my last reply, I have two ladies that collect orders for me as I don't have the time in doing my own round anymore. My time is taken up by recruiting.
I have a a great mixture of reps that sell their products in different ways, friends & family, work, charity (e:g playschools trying to raise funds!) territory and the way that seems to be on the increase is by party plan.
Where you can sell and recruit at the same time.
give it a go Rachel you have nothing to loose.
Good luck

I can give you a suggestion that worked very well with Betterware - I am not sure if Avon allow this but it is worth a go
On Betterware you could order your stock from the last 3 catalogues - the impact of this is that you could order any goods your customer had ordered at the lowest of the 3 prices available to you.
the best example on Betterware was the window cleaning system - usually sold at £25 however, every summer the price went down to £12.50. Typically the customers brought it when they wanted it (i.e. when the Conservatory was dirty enough) and usually at £25.00
On Betterware we brought the items at 80% of retail so you could see the item for £25.00 and buy it for £10.00 a total profit or £15.00 per item rather than the usual £5.00 per item.
Most team leads do not give you this detail as this is how they increase their commision.
During our time with Betterware we using this method to double and sometimes treble our income.
a typical week generated about £400 in sales which you typically give us £100 income but this usually inceresed to £150 to £250 - I must point out that this meant delivering and collecting 800 books a week (400 books cycled twice every week - hard back breaking work.
Additionally with Avon it may be worth starting your own website and selling Avon via it - much simplier to do than it sounds - Avon either use Buy.at or Tradedoubler for their on-line affiliates.0 -
Thanks rachel83 and j73...
I am going to pay £248 up front on my card this week and then submit my order of £448 next Tuesday.. I want all my products to come on delivery date as promised to my customers.. I understand that Avon are covering themselves and that I/people could do a runner with £448...... its just a pain in the bum finding money up front!!!
PS I would not reckon Betterware selling to anyone!!!! Mum did it for a while and was a waste of time, AVON RULES!
