Awww Lou I know exactly how you feel.
The same thing happened to me on my first order as well  My AM never told me either and my order was over £500. Her initial reaction was...'great, that's brilliant' and then the 'oh, but you can't put a first order in for that amount'I ended up juggling my money around to pay the rest up front. PITA but what could i do? Couldn't let my new customers down
Still at least it was worth it as the 2nd order was even better!

Yes Rach83 thats correct that for my 1st order i have a small credit limit but this doubles on your next campaign, then doubles on the next one and so on... i'm gutted! They never offered to get the other orders for me so i take it as a No.. My BF is helping me out with the money i need to pay up front but thats not the point! Even worse, she said its cos i am a young individual, i'm 19, that is why they have put the credit limit there to start with! Discrimination or what!
So i have orders worth £448 and I have to pay £248 up front. does this mean that I will still get the same amount of wages (commision) I worked out I should earn about £112. I hope this wont be effected just because i have that credit limit?!
Please respond

Hi Lou,
I had that restiction too. But my SL told me that if I went over (which I didnt) she would open up a new account in my partners name, then close it down after the first order. That way I could order upto £400.
Ask if you could do that in a friends name or something

Hi Louiseaustin69,
The reason Avon do this is because, as it is your 1st order Avon need to cover themselves just incase you do not pay your bill ( Not saying you won't!)
I'd reccomend that you place the order £200, get it out to your customers ASAP & collect the money. Pay your balance, then call Avon to place an order for the rest of your customers orders.
Hope this makes sense.
If you need anymore advice call your S/L (or you are welcome to contact me for advice!)
P.S
you don't really want to be running 2 accounts! (2x admin fees!)0 -
P.S
this is nothing to do with age. Majority of new reps have a credit limit for their first order.

My SL said that she would pay the second start up fees as she was only supplying me with 20 books for one campaigneProud to be dealing with my debts

yes you will still get the same commision on that if you put the extra amount in, the price avon quote is the price you pay avon not the price you have in orders eg: if you have £200 in orders avon will charge you 75%of that.
i am really suprised how rubbish some Sl's seem to be, from reading this thread (i do try to contribute where i can) most of them just give you your books and away you go.
mikki where abouts are you in the country (please dont physicly post that in the thread as its an open forum) i am in fife if you are near me i am happy to add the rest of your order onto mine but the problem is i have placed my c14 order already and passed my deadline now, if it is c15 i can help if you are local. if not then all i can sujest is either blatantly asking your SL to add it to hers (in theory because she makes money on your order aswell she should help you out) or make another account and do it that way, hmm im sure that there would be another way round it because making another account means paying another £15 admin fee and you dont want to do that:rolleyes:september:£22 jackpotjoy,screensaver,£50 thomas cook voucher0 -
Hi Mikki
She/he should be supplying you with 40 books in total.
20 for your 1st order & 20 for your 2nd
or
40 books on your 1st.
