I am sorry but I really can not remember entirely what is included, however I found most of the things to be older items. There were mascaras, lipsticks, scarfs, jewellery. To be honest I found the Bumper Business pack for £60 more useful as they listed what was included and I have managed to sell most of the items on to customers. It really depends on what you intend to use the items for i.e. if you want to give your customers freebies etc.

hi all, haven't posted in a while, but i've been plodding along:)
camp 12 was pretty awful for me, only got a couple of orders, but then got a late one, so had to do an additional order.
I've also just had a lady at work ask for some of the SSS soft and fresh spray, She only wants 2, (half price offer so only £5) so i'm loathe to put in yet another additional order, but she wants it by 15th august, and my usual order won't be there in time.
don't suppose there is anyone who has any, or gets their order soon who'd be willing to order me some?
happy to do similar in return:)

oh, and just got camp 15, it looks really nice. quite professional. might even go for the moneymaker on the ungaro perfume. i have one lady who only buys perfume!

    Hi again
Well i bit the bullet and applied online to be a representative. The local sales leader phoned me last night and I am now very confused! She seemed to think that I knew all about Avon and how it works and blinded me with "campaigns" etc etc. Now I am really not to sure that I will go any further with this. It sounds like alot of hard work ( books every 3 days, only get 20 - so that it several trips/fuel costs/hassle etc etc ) ...for little return.

    Not so sure now.....
  • But what IS an online representative? Sounds like a normal rep that places their order online to me. Dont worry Wilroda, it's books every 3 weeks, not days and you can order as many as you like/can afford. I usually go for about 50 and also use my old ones so that makes about 100.
Ive seen that some other people had a bad month on camp 12- so did i. I think it just must have been a boring brochure or something!
How often do avon do the little sale mags for? Like will they do them all the way up to christmas as well? xx
:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls

My C13 books didnt come with any sale books, but I think I might reuse the C12 ones. I was sent 100 C12 books and 135 C12 sale books so I have loads left!

Managed to get another 2 orders for C12 today so I'm over £100 now, I was worried that I wouldent hit the commision mark

I was thinking of giving online avon repping a go - especially if I leave this awful job and am at home as I will lose most of my avon customers. Anyone know anyone who does it?
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Ive just been canvassing some new houses and came across a bit of problem. A woman said that she used to buy lots from avon, but the last time she ordered she got 2 bras that didnt fit, but the rep didnt go back so she couldn't return them, and as a result she wants nothing to do with avon. I asked when it was and she said it was quite a while ago, but she still has them. I was just wondering if there is anthing that can be done regarding this.

Hi all! My mum and I have decided to give Avon a go to earn some spending money for a family holiday. My Mum phoned the area managers number we found from an ad in the local paper and she came round today. We were talking for a while and she said she was looking for new sales leaders and as I was currently out of work (redundancy) it would be a great opertunity for me.

I have agreed to go out with her on Monday and we are gonna do some work and go and meet one of her sales leaders who has been with her for a few years.

The only things I am not sure of is being self employed as it sounds scary having to do your own tax and n.i.c and going knocking on peoples doors. The manager said she advises you go and see a financial adviser for £20 and he will tell you everything you need to know and save you money. She also siad that the lady that I will meet on Monday had the same opinion as me when she started but when she was a few weeks into it found that because you were not trying too sell products, just asking if people would like to earn some extra cash it did not bother her.

I was just wondering if anyone had any advise as it all seems a bit daunting at the moment!

I wouldn't want to let a good opertunity go as I would only be working a few days a week if that but maybe it is more hassle than its worth when you get in a few months.

Thanks in advance, sorry to ramble on lol!

    Hi Alyson,

I registered as self-employed, it's really not difficult. Just ring the HMRC on the self-employed registration line and give them a few details. Job done! Then once a year you have to complete a self assessment for tax but you can just follow the on screen instructions to do that online.

For NI contributions, you can get a small earnings exemption certificate if you're not earning more than £90pw (including ALL jobs). If you're earning £90pw already in another job, you just sign up to pay £2.30pw NI then you'll get billed around 20% of your profits as tax at the end of the year. Bare in mind you can write off a lot of stuff as a business expense though so you're "profit" is only what's left after you've nicked all your perks from it lol.

It might be worth paying £20 to get that financial advice though. I'm just an Avon weirdo on a website after all

RIE I wouldn't want to get involved with online repping to be honest. You'd have to charge your customers P&P so what's the point when they can just order direct from Avon for cheaper P&P? If you look on ebay, a lot of them are selling at a loss. I snapped up a clearance lot the other week of seven brand new items for 99p plus £4.20 P&P. And it really did cost the poor rep £4.20 to post them! Felt a bit bad but then I thought well, people do it to me.

BTW my orders are looking up now. Had a bigger order from my old man's work than I had from my own estate! So have now hit the MOV and haven't even collected the books from the shops yet. Fingers crossed, will let you all know how it goes tomorrow.
