I am on my 2nd campaign so far and i have just submitted my orders for campaign 14 and am about to go into campaign 15! I am in the south east and am in a trendsetter area. This means that we are 2 books ahead of everyone else so that our customers are used as guinea pigs so Avon can test out the products and see what is selling etc. This is good and bad for us i think. on the good side products are in stock for us as we are the first to order etc. also the reps get one pack of free brochures each delivery as a thank you. but on the other hand that means we get the christmas stuff too early!! campaign 15 has the christmas ornaments in and to be honest i dont think many if any of my customers will order them now lol. The actual camp 15 book is quite pretty though lol! the cover is completely pink front and back. It's pushing the new Ungaro for her fragrance!
anyway didnt do too well with my first campaign - only got orders for £73 but this time i have £200 ish.
We are on campaign 13 here. Today I'm going to try something - I've seen a version of this in a shop window near me, and thought, 'I can do that and make it look more professional, and distribute it around more places'. It was a flyer with a photocopied cover of the Avon brochure, with a rep's details, saying 'if you would like a brochure please call me and request one'.
I'm getting sick of traipsing round houses as I'm six months pregnant now and usually have to lug the double buggy around with my one year-old and three year-old, at least one of which will start whinging at me after about an hour.
So I'm going to go through a C13 brochure in a short while to find the offers I think might be popular. Might do a couple of flyers with different offers and stick them in shops adjacent or near to each other. Also, I'm expecting some people (if any actually phone me! ) might live too far away for me to walk to them, so I can pass their details onto my SL... brownie points :rotfl:
Might also save me from people like the nasty lady who shouted at me yesterday for not picking up my brochure on Tuesday like I had supposedly said I would. It confused me at first as we've just lost my mum after a long illness and I was through at my dad's Sunday to Tuesday, so I was already anxious about messing up my days, losing customers through no fault of my own, etc. Really trying to keep going with this Avon thing, it's kept my mind occupied and got me out of the house through an otherwise depressing time. So this woman stalked off into her house, brought me back the offending brochure, said 'ANYWAY I'M NOT INTERESTED!' and shut the door in my face! Really upset me and put me off. Anyway my friend told me I should put a note through her door explaining my situation, which I did, as well as the order form which in actual fact I had changed before first putting through her door in a sandwich bag with the brochure, but which had MONDAY PM clearly crossed out and FRIDAY PM circled, neither of which, I informed her, was actually TUESDAY. So that made me feel better, and hopefully would make her think twice before shouting at poor innocent Avon reps
Well that was a rant and a half!:DI have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
Oh dear! There's always one isn't there  Don't let it get to you Paulabear - at least you're out there trying to earn a bit of cash, so the problem is hers not yours.
Fortunately, most people are lovely, so that makes up for the odd 'grumpy'!
I've been trying flyers through doors in areas where I think they may not get a brochure. It says (in short) If you don't get a brochure and would like one, please ring me. I figured no one could object to that as I wasn't trying to persuade people to order from me if they already have a Rep. I put around 100 through on Thursday morning, but no calls yet. Like most other people, I've been asking for more area without sucess (except being offered a really grotty area that I wouldn't want to go to during the day, let alone at night and carrying money  )
I'm starting C13 on Monday (I did a bit over the £200 on C12, which is about average for me). I can see the larger size bras with a free brief or thong selling well; also the Footworks '3 for £5' is good value. I notice though that brochure 13 has one of those really annoying half covers which have a tendency to get ripped off and make the book look really tatty.'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

I have an additional 12 order which I'm going to put in today and I'm also going to back order some more of the planet spa goodies. I'm also going to try for the stuff that was out of stock on the main 12 order as I've done this before and sometimes get it!! what's that about?
Must be returns.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -

I think they allocate so much stock per campaign, as people who are behind would be left with all the dribs and drabs otherwise and get loads of OOS's0 -

hey yes they get something like 4% and then when their reps become sales leaders they get cut of their reps as well but not a lot!! but i no some sales leaders making a £1000 a camp but you would have to put all your effort into it !0 -

Actually, no. You would earn the same whether you have a SL or not. They do earn if you do, but it does not reduce your earnings.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Hi all, I'm an Avon Sales Leader so any questions, please ask!
I might not know all the answers though, as I've only been a SL now for 3 campaigns.0
