i went through the orders ive already got in tonight and managed to blag myself an extra £9 so far and a few little freebies which i can use in my 'free gift' promo, every little helps lolthanks for the back ordering tip!hopefully i'll get a few more orders when i pick up my books and blag myself a few more extras. I'm having a really slow month though think i may struggle to hit MOV. maybe my first campaign was just beginners luck!0

Gem, how far off our you? Things always pick up in the last week i find. I always feel nervous until i go past the hundred pound mark and then i relax a bit. If you're not far off, its defo worth ordering yourself a few bits from the book or HT to get it up to the £75 otherwise you will lose out on commision. At least if you get to £75 you get £14 commision/a few things for yourself.
Im addicted to buying stuff from HT- I go for all the little packs and put them in my xmas pressies box:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls0 -
I've got about £50 and ive still got about 30 books out so hopefully they'll come through for me, one of my customers lives in a house with 4 girls so hopefully i'll get a good order from them. fingers crossed!!I want to go round to the local salons etc but the only problem is i dont drive so if i do get orders from their customers it might be really difficult to deliver. can u think of a way round that?0

Gemia...I'm going to do that too but have the same problem. Just include a note on the order form stating that delivery will be to the salon on such and such a date and ask if they can leave the money for their orders with reception. (obviously check with reception!)0

I'm on my first campaign (although I have helped my sister on a number already) but am already predicting a struggle.
The area I have been given is..well, to put it bluntly, a hell hole. I've already been snapped at by 3 large dogs, had books ripped up infront of me and people telling me in no uncertain terms where to go.
I'm trying to remain optimistic but I can't see myself making the minimum order - even with contribution from friends at work etc.
Ho-hum!

Alys - I got bit by a dog on my second campaign lol. That was just unlucky though...
I would persevere with your territory and use your calling book to indicate the ones where you don't want to go back or they don't want you to and ask to see your ASM after this campaign and show her your calling book. tell her the problems you've had and ask for another area and see how you go. If you have no joy with your ASM try calling Avon.
HTH - and good luck hun.0 -
Thanks for the guideance
Much appreciated.
I'm sure it will not be as bad as I'm predicting but my sister did have a similar road when she first started out and was eventually able to move.
Let's hope I never actually get bitten - although I came close to it!
Thanks again,

No problem Alys. Keep it up at work and everything too. Just keep reminding people and even offer a small discount to colleagues (10%) where possible, maybe just for your first camp? Your MOV is counted on full prices, not your prices so you will still earn a bit and people will be more inclined to order in future. You could also take your Hello Tomorrow into work and tell them they can order what they like from the Sale pages (I would recommend you only do this if you're floundering though as you don't earn anything on this!)0

All great ideas
I must admit I decided to try it just to stop my evening boredom so if it doesn't work out it's not too much of an issue - but the succesful side of me would like to see it work no matter what!0 -
I know what you mean Alys...I started it to keep me from going stir crazy myself but I could really do with the cash and like to be good at things too!
I had to give up full time work as my health is poor and I couldn't afford to work (go figure) and now my husband supports the three of us so I feel the need to do something! Having said that, because of my health the poor soul helps more than I would like!0
