Hi Jade,
Congratulations on getting £130 with just 6 books, that's fantastic. I'm only on my 2nd campaign so no expert but payment-wise you have approx 10 days to pay for your order once your delivery arrives. Your invoice, which will be in the box with your delivery will give you the exact date you need to pay by. It gives you enough time to collect in all the money due from your customers before you have to pay for the order so you shouldn't be out of pocket.
Hope this helps,0 -

I am not an Avon rep but looking for some advice. I work full time as a teacher, do you think i would have enough time to become an Avon rep as well or not? Do you have to declare your income?
I'm not sure how you'd manage time wise as I'm not a teacher so don't know what hours you do. I guess you could deliver and collect brochures after work and most people tend to be in then so it could work quite well for you.
You would have to declare your income if you decided to go with it as you're already earning a salary and I presume over the min 6k (or whatever it is) level. I'm not an expert on tax but as far as I'm aware you need to declare yourself as self employment and then fill out a self-assessment form each April - it sounds horrendous but it's not that bad especially if you do it online. You can also claim for a National Insurance exempt certificate as you already pay NI through your main job and unless you start earning more than I think 5k a year from a second job you don't need to pay it again.
As far as I know you will pay the same % of tax as you do with your main job, so if you pay 22% now you will pay 22% on any profit you make. You can claim for expenses though so telephone calls, mileage, internet time, printer expense etc can all be added up and will knock the amount of tax you pay down quite dramatically. There are quite a few people on the Mystery Shopping thread who know all the ins and outs of this, so it might be worth checking that thread out. Or call up the tax office they will be able to tell you exactly what you need to know.
Good luck with it though, I'm only in my second campaign and loving every minute of it.0 -

Hi All,
I'm quite new to all this and reading through my Avon buff it suggests doing one-stop selling to save time - making sure that for example your customer has a brochure for C11 so that when you deliver C10 you can collect the order for 11 and incude with the order a brochure for C12 so you only visit the customer once every 3 weeks.
Does anyone do this? And does it work? Or do you feel that it reduces your orders?
If you don't do one-stop selling, could I be really cheeky and ask how you do space your orders/brochures etc.
Many thanks,

I don't do one stop selling, i've got into a routine now...I take the brochure round when I am delivering the orders (if they haven't ordered, I post the books as I am doing my deliveries) I then collect the books the following Monday, so they have the book for a week at the most. When I am doing recanvassing or new streets, I give the books out once I have gotten the ones back from my regulars.
Hope this makes sense! Think happy & you'll be happy

I work exactly the same way as Hayley as I feel that the one stop selling puts too much pressure on customer to buy and they would get confused.
Everyone finds their own way after a while.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -
Thanks Hayley and Mare. That is pretty much what I'm doing so I'll carry on as I am I think rather than go down the one-stop selling route.0

Hi everyone
A few months ago I got a call from Avon offering me the Sun Care pack (I think it was called that) which was 10 suncare items for £10. I was only allowed to order one of it
So with my delivery that camapign I actually got 2 packs sent to me  and they appeared on my invoice, but with cost showing as £0. I guessed it would be charged to my account 2 campaigns later like they sometimes to.
The feels like it was ages ago now and I've not had it charged to my account yet. Has anyone else had this, or know when it's due to be charged to peoples accounts, or have I managed to unwhittingly get away with free products?
