How can I find a Tesco petrol station that allows you to use the 5p off per litre?
I tried their website, but it doesn't distinguish easily between ordinary stations (allowed) and Express (not allowed).0 -
Tesco.
Just thought I'd point out again the possible savings at Tesco filling stations:
Price down by 4p;
5p off per litre if you spend £50 in store;
Present your Clubcard when paying for your fuel and receive 1p in the £ in points BUT use your points for deals and they're worth 4p.
Total saving over 13p per litre.0 -
I posted this in another thread, so I'm not sure about the forum rules and whether I'm allowed to post it in here. This website www.keepmoving.co.uk has a petrol price finder where it finds the cheapest petrol on your driving route. Quite handy for long trips.0

I work in the motor trade and offer the following advice.Keep yoUr car properly serviced,for older vehicles use a specialist or see if your dealer has a cheaper service plan for older(3+ years) cars.Always ask if there's a cheaper option when buying parts,many manufacturers do a secondary range of good quality-CHEAPER-parts.Main dealer parts on older cars are often cheaper than factors like Halfords..compare.Good luck,enjoy your motoring.0

Really useful article. My husband and i have often had the pros and cons of air con argument! I'll be ready with the reponse that all the windows open aren't good either so i'll get my way!
Going to check out petrolprices.com too. Our car is terribly unefficient with fuel so i'll be looking to save money where i can. Thanks for the great onfo!SARAH:p

According to petrolprices.com we now have petrol at 107.9p/l at Tesco in Barnsley, and somewhere in the country it is 106.9. Bit far for me to travel but hopefully indicative of further cuts0

Results I've got from trying to drive more fuel-efficiently. Most of this has been city driving:
Previously, 33-35ltr gave me around 215 mile
Driving more carefully increased this to around 235 miles.
Turning engine off at lights increased my mileage to 293 miles!0 -

Do the lights take half an hour to change or something?0 -
