That's great news about the ppi redress payment, hope a permanent job comes along soon
  • Checked with HSBC, it IS mine!!!! Paid off credit card and sofa loan. Only 5 car loan payments left and I will only have the mortgage to pay. So my target is debt free apart from mortgage by my next birthday, and to get a permanent job by xmas. Here's hoping!

  • The worst bit is that I nearly didn't bother trying to claim a ppi refund, so glad I did!

    So pleased for you.

Maybe this is the start of good things coming your way.... fingers crossed. :)

That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
  • I'm hoping that I will get a permanent job soon, however knowing that my credit card is clear and the finance on the furniture is gone is reassuring.

I just have to embrace this good luck and make sure that when my car loan is paid off in March that I don't get myself into debt again.

I've joined the sealed pot challenge for this year, so hoping that I can resist temptation to buy the sort of rubbish I bought before and put the money in the sealed pot so that this time next year I will have enough money to do something fun with, like go on holiday as I haven't been away for years.

  • I particularly fancy having the money to be able to have a holiday as DC and OH have been away this year and I haven't, so I want to go away by myself either 2021 or 2022, which gives me plenty of time to plan where I want to go and what to do there.

  • Had a job interview on Friday, they should let me know on Monday whether or not I have got the job.
However I do have a new temping job to take me up to xmas which is good, but I really do want a permanent job as soon as possible as I am getting very demoralised in respect of going to interviews and getting a thanks, but no thanks each time.
