So long since I was last on here!
The child had a great week away with family, and does indeed have enough clothes to cover the summer.
Decluttering is going better than I thought, although I still have a lot to sort out and that isn't considering the boxes I have stashed in my sister's garage.
Credit card has had too much spent on it, OH owes me nearly £1,000 which he pays back in dribs and drabs.
Need to get new school shoes for DC, but will put that off for another week or so. Can't decide if I need to keep buying expensive Clarks shoes or if I can get away with supermarket brands now - feet are size 5 (adult) now, but as still only 9 have potential to get quite a bit bigger.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250 -
Just not feeling it today, but have St George's Day parade to go to this afternoon. It can get disheartening when as a volunteer I give up my time for events like this and the kids don't want to go/can't be bothered etc. Last year my group were hosting, so almost all of the kids were within easy travelling distance and of the 18 kids in my section only 6 turned up. Strange how all these parents who are too busy/ kids have other commitments every weekend so can't turn up for the "boring" bits can always seem to turn up for the camps/badge days/sleepovers etc.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250

Just popping in to say my DS is 10 and I've tried every type of school shoe. From cheaper ones, supermarket and then clarks, kickers etc. The best I found where supermarket! He plays a lot of football in them at school and they always last. I try to get the ones with more of a tough looking front.
Good luck“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
The child got Asda shoes, which weren't too expensive but she had to get women's size 5 as the kid's size 5 were too small.
Hopefully her feet will stop growing soon since her feet are only a couple of sizes smaller than mine now. I just need her to get taller to balance out her feet.
The plan for the weekend is: take child to her classes tomorrow, Church on Sunday and pack for child's school trip.
I also have to pick up painted pottery, finish a free online course, do washing, sort out some books and dvds and either ziffit/music magpie/charity shop the stuff.
Also have to sew a couple of badges on child's uniform and sort school uniform into a separate box to free up drawer space in child's room.
That's the plan anyway!Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250 -
Me and OH sorted out our bedroom and wardrobe over the weekend.. 15 bags to the charity shop!
Had to buy a wardrobe for the dc, who is on a trip for the next couple of days as her clothes are too big just to be folded and stuck in a drawer now.
Got the lounge and bathroom to sort out today - not looking forward to it, as both are a mess, not helped by DC wiping toothpaste, face mask all over the wallpaper.
Still, must keep plodding on..Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250 -

well, this week I had my birthday - went this a friend to a local pottery painting place then out for lunch. Expensive but worth it.
I have once again put off getting a £120 admin fee for an online course that I just can't seem to get into, I am definitely not signing up for another course because I can never seem to get them dome promptly - its like I do the first assignment then lose all interest in the course.
More stuff sorted out of the never ending heaps of stuff to go to the charity shop, but still not enough to make the place tidy.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250 -
I have finally completed the other 2 assignments I had outstanding for my course - at worst I will get them sent back with some adjustments to make, but I won't get fined now for not completing the course :-) And this time I won't make the mistake of signing up for another course just for something to do. I don't have the time and I still have half a bedroom to sort out.
Went to the theatre with a friend and our kids yesterday - it was her treat, which was kind of her, it cost me £16 in souvenirs though.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250 -

my car got hit by someone not turning the wheel fast enough so its going to the garage tomorrow - I'm hoping fixing it won't cost me anything, especially as the fuel tank is damaged.
Nearly quit as an assistant cub leader after camp last weekend, camp was a complete disaster.
I've learnt my lesson from the last distance learning course I did - I'm not doing any more, I don't have the time or inclination pretty much as soon as I start it.
What I need to do is sort out all the "stuff" I have, get rid of a good chunk of it and store the rest of it neatly so its not all over the house.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250
