well I've had several interviews - 7 I think. I am waiting to hear back from one that was 2 weeks ago, the others were (obviously) thanks, but no thanks. One of them I have seen re-advertised, so obviously no-one was good enough for that job.
Went to see an agency last week, they have lined me up an interview for a 3 month temp job, which may be extended. It would be amazing if I got it because its near DC's school and I could walk it, so no transport costs.
Seeing another agency on Friday, problem is the costs of all these interviews add up.
I've signed on for JSA, didn't realise that there were 7 waiting days before you qualified for a payment - so all the interview costs are currently coming out of the last payment I got from my employer, but I still have all the usual bills to pay so its getting very close to me being so skint I will have to cancel the DC's activities, some of which will be hard to get back into as they have waiting lists.
I'm also getting bored being at home now, I just want a job now.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250 -
I had an interview for a temporary job today - I start on Monday. Its for the NHS so hopefully what I learn whilst I'm doing the job will help me apply for other similar jobs in the future. The money is less than I was on, but the lack of commuting costs will help make up for it.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250

Temping job is going well, except that this one will probably only last a few more weeks as they are getting someone on a permanent basis and I didn't see the job ad until it had closed. Still, based on the experience of the person who got the full time job, I wouldn't have got it anyway.
DC is doing well with their out of school activities, almost sorted out their badges for Cubs, unfortunately due to a personality clash with the Cub leader (mega efficient teacher so scares me somewhat!) I may have to step down from helping with the group.
The grand declutter of the house is now dragging - after initial enthusiasm OH appears to have given up on sorting out the first room, so it will be a long time before everything is sorted out.
insomnia combined with a cold is why I am up so early, plus I needed to sort out letters for a Cub event happening in a couple of weeks - only 2 hours a week - ha!Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250 -
Hoping to get 4 of the 5 Cub badges agreed for DC this week and next. DC will then have all the activity badges and challenge badges and 14/15 staged activity badges that can be got. Put another way 59/60 badges it is possible for a Cub to have, plus a special our group only badge and a poppy badge that we got permission to have on the uniform for commemorating 80 years since the end of WW1.
I spent my life being an underachiever so I want DC to achieve as many of their goals as they can and will do whatever I can to help them.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250 -
Just checked my bank account and I have apparently received a ppi redress payment. I will be waiting until I get a confirmation letter before I spend it, but if it's true it is enough to pay off my credit card and store card and have a little bit left over. Fingers crossed its not someone's idea of a bad scam!Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/20250
