be interesting to see who is off the blocks first with rate rises.

I see the Sainsbury's Defined Access Saver Issue 33 has been removed
    Went NLA 28/10.
I opened on 27th so got in just in time then! :)

The Sharia rates have to have priced in a lot of this increase,  I suspect the early announcements will be the other banks matching them.  Could be a wait to break 3%.

Problem is that with easy access there are a lot of us rate tarts that will just move to the best rate, so I could see the big players waiting and see if they get significant withdrawals before moving.

Ooooh do tell, I wouldn't mind not paying taxes anymore.

Announcing straight away that you will increase rates ... but not for almost a month is more than a little bit blatant.

Please don't bother moving your money as we are matching rates - but we want a month to profit off you first,  Thanks.
Agreed, but at least they have told people, very quickly, what they are going to do...

How do the sharia accounts make money? Is it just disguised interest?

They mostly invest in ethical investments that are allowed under sharia rules, eg. not alcohol, tobacco etc

So AFAICS Cov BS's only available Easy Access 'online 5' is going from 1.85% to 2.35% at 01/12?

If nobody shouts out they can see anything better in their list, maybe gets them a slot on ToTP... if none of the existing Top10 up their rates.

They'll go in the future promised rates for now.
