Harpenden BS Triple Access Saver now pays 2.4%. The account can be opened by post or in branch and can be managed in branch, online and by post.

While the latest Zopa increase might not satisfy the savvy MSE forumite who's managed to bag one of the recent, short-lived easy access accounts which paid better rates, it is now the second highest-paying easy access savings account currently available to new customers so they'll get some custom from it, I'm sure... at least until the next batch of rises :D

Their notice pot rates definitely aren't high enough, though.
  • I will stick with Al Rayan, Gatehouse & Santander.

Zopa showing on my account 2.4% primary 2.45 7 day 2.60 31 day and 2.80% on 95 day ... no email or site announcement yet...
I am still going to clear out my Zopa smart saver when my 95 day pot matures in a couple of weeks. 2.8% on 95 day can't compete with 2.8% / 2.81% easy access, and I certainly am not tempted by notice accounts below 2.75%. Disappointing, as I really love their app and ease of use.

Good to see Zopa inching up. If the Zopa team are reading this, and could nudge it up further to 3% in Nov / Dec, that'd be great 👍
  • Marcus now paying 2.50% (including the 0.25% bonus that's 'fixed for 12 months' but seems like a permanent offer to me). :)
That’s great news. Thanks for the update  :)
  • When does the Santander E Saver pay interest, is it on account anniversary?
  • Has anyone else had a horrible experience trying to withdraw their savings from Santander's eSaver?

My withdrawals were blocked - going back into the current account with another provider that funded the savings account in the first place! - and I had to phone their "helpline" - 30 minutes later I finally spoke to someone and it then took nearly an hour of invasive security checks and being on hold for them to unlock my account. I'm frightened to try any more withdrawals today in case the same nightmare occurs again.

Their rate is good (albeit there are now better rates), but the customer service and ease of use of the account is horrific and makes a mockery of the term "easy access". I wouldn't recommend the Santander eSaver account to anyone.
