Good point - I think though that the turnover is much lower than you'd expect from reading posts on here. Many will spend hours moving money around for a fiver, whereas the average person is not doing this at all. Maybe looking once per year or even never!Freebird53 said:I wonder If / how long it will take AR to respond? On another note, this Easy Access thing is a bit of a mystery to me.I can see how a bank offering a fixed term gives them the security to lend/invest, but EA accounts?Once their EA rate is uncompetitive people will surely take their money elsewhere....?1 -
I am insulted by the suggestion I would post a scam phone number.callum9999 said:
This isn't remotely targeted at you as many people on here do it (and I'm sure you're trustworthy!), but people REALLY need to stop calling random numbers given to them by strangers on the internet. I don't doubt this is the real number for Santander security, but it could just as easily be a scammer pretending to be Santander.Daliah said:
@financialbliss This number might be less painful to get through on: 0800 151 3151 (Santander Security)financialbliss said:
Erm, yesterday. eSaver was only available from yesterday. Two different CS agents confirm there's a block on my account. Still on hold (on speaker) dialing though to get this fixed. Gave up after an hour first time. This is second attenpt.SFindlay said:financialbliss said:On hold to Santander now. There's a block on my eSaver preventing me withdrawing funds.
On a separte note, I looked at this thread yesterday when we were on page 797 thinking it could get to 800 pages - been some replies over the last 24 hours !
When did you open the account??
I'm surprised how often this happens on here given people seem pretty savvy about avoiding scams otherwise.1 -
Got the number via Santander online chat this morning, but would have verified it anyway.callum9999 said: This isn't remotely targeted at you as many people on here do it (and I'm sure you're trustworthy!), but people REALLY need to stop calling random numbers given to them by strangers on the internet.Mortgage and debt free. Does anyone know if it's possible to have a direct debit collected from a Santander esaver account?0

I suggest you read it properly then.Daliah said:

Though I'm equally disappointed by the apparent lack of very basic internet safety knowledge. (I remember being told this advice way back when I was a child!)0 -
Good to hear. I've seen so many people on here just blindly accept numbers.financialbliss said:

But how dare you suggest they may have provided a scam number!0 -
To be fair they did say it wasn't targeted at you. Although I work off the principle of never trusting anyone I don't know personally. I'm suspicious of unsolicited emails, texts and phone calls. It's unfortunate, but these are the times will live in.Daliah said:

And not only do we not personally know the people posting on here, there's no way of knowing that it actually IS them posting either.jimexbox said:
