Santander Esaver blocked transfers:
I eventually got through. CS guy dealing with my block says this happens on new accounts & usually gets cleared (by their IT) in 24-48 hours.
It could be a fob off, but if you're not desperate, give it a day or two & you may save yourself a long and boring wait on the phone.

On a separte note, I looked at this thread yesterday when we were on page 797 thinking it could get to 800 pages - been some replies over the last 24 hours !
When did you open the account??
I'm surprised how often this happens on here given people seem pretty savvy about avoiding scams otherwise.callum9999 said:Daliah said:financialbliss said:SFindlay said:financialbliss said:On hold to Santander now. There's a block on my eSaver preventing me withdrawing funds.

Though I'm equally disappointed by the apparent lack of very basic internet safety knowledge. (I remember being told this advice way back when I was a child!)0 -
Applied for Santander this morning 07 49 two individuals both have accounts on record with them , had auto acknowledgment and since then nothing so I’m guessing they are now overwhelmed, or they don’t like us !0

He thought maybe it was manually put on for due diligence because of it being a joint a/c. When applying online, my details were auto filled in but I had to manually add some for my wife (DOB, etc).
