Not according to the lovely Courtney C.S, she has just told me that all funds go into a Barclays holding account so they are at the mercy of Barclays Bank for any processing, if funds are deposited before 1.00pm on a business day they will appear on the account balance by midday the next business day and nothing at week-ends!mebu60 said:
If you make a deposit into your account before 1pm on a working day, funds will show on your account by close of business the same day. If your deposit is made after 1pm, funds will show by close of business the following day.BigBlueSky said:With the Gatehouse Bank I know the cut-off for same day deposits is 1pm in the afternoon.
Does this apply on weekends too, or if I deposit before 1pm on Saturday will it not be applied to the account until Monday now ?
Thanks in advance
As Saturday is not a working day it would be Monday.0 -

Must be pretty hot off the press - I was logged in this morning and the old rates were showing... Top EA ranked list updated, here, thanks.iishappy said:Zopa Increased rates in App today

I recently transferred funds to Gatehouse on Saturday morning and they arrived within 3 hours. I sent more after 1pm on the same Saturday and they were in the account early Sunday morning. Further funds sent Sunday morning were there Monday morning.WBCPB said:

Got to hand it to zopa, they have a great product. They do stay competitive and react to competitors/base rate rises fairly quickly.iishappy said:Zopa Increased rates in App today

Just a pity they restrict it to app only, as I have an online managed account with them that suits me to a Tee. YMMVjimexbox said:

Being nosey... How many Regular Saver accounts do you have? — MoneySavingExpert Forum1 -
Just noticed Zopa too, they haven't even updated their own website yet. Also just got my first interest and noticed the one annoying thing about it. Interest gets paid into the pots and you can't move it cos they are access pots. It needs an option to pay the interest into the primary pot.1

Eh? You mean 'cos they are NOT access pots?Zaul22 said:Interest gets paid into the pots and you can't move it cos they are access pots. It needs an option to pay the interest into the primary pot.

For anyone with an existing Tesco 1.71% Internet Saver, the rate has risen to 1.81% today since the underlying rate (excluding the 1 year bonus) has gone up from 0.25% to 0.35%.
It's not available to new applicants unfortunately (for new accounts although the underlying rate has gone up to 0.35%, the bonus has gone down to 1.36%).
