It may have been stopped for security reasons. Some banks won't tell you that it has been stopped until they've made you wait 24 hours and raised a complaint.Sg28 said:
Thats concerning, my bank say it hasnt been stopped and the transfer was made. Maybe ill give zopa a call
It's why they don't want the faster payments reduced from 48 hours to 24 hours.0 -
Posting here because I don't think it is a big enough issue to be worth a thread on its own, and I think it is linked to holding a Ford Flexible Saver account - has anyone had an email (apparently) from Ford Money looking 'too good to be true', regarding a free gift celebrating their 5th anniversary?0

I contacted live chat on zopa and they have no sign of the money there...
I suppose ill have to wait and hope it turns up later..Ex Sg27 (long forgotten log in details)Massive thank you to those on the long since defunct Matched Betting board.0 -
I've had quite a few issues with First Direct over the years. I speak to them and they tell me it has gone through and hasn't been flagged, to then later get a call from their overseas call centre (who do the security checks) asking me if I made the transactions.

Is seems the two systems are not fully linked together.
I'm sure it will show eventually or you will get a phone call from First Direct security team1 -

Thats reassuring, I have had a call from them before after having a transaction blocked, I assumed it would be seen by the UK call centre staff. Fingers crossed 🤞 . Its quite concerning to have £30,000 lost into no where!BigBlueSky said:

Also I noted when googling that hsbc have a £25,000 a day transfer limit? Could this be the issue? As I sent 2 transfers totalling 30kEx Sg27 (long forgotten log in details)Massive thank you to those on the long since defunct Matched Betting board.0 -

Maybe higher value transactions are the ones that get flagged, but there isn't a daily transfer limit as such (you can do any amount over the phone) even above their online limits.0 -
Thanks, I looked as soon as I got the email but couldn't find anything. Possibly too quick off the mark.janusdesign said:Section62 said:Posting here because I don't think it is a big enough issue to be worth a thread on its own, and I think it is linked to holding a Ford Flexible Saver account - has anyone had an email (apparently) from Ford Money looking 'too good to be true', regarding a free gift celebrating their 5th anniversary?I have an applicable product, but i've not had an email from them yet, though there is this page on their site..... so probably legit.
